The penalty statistic I like to look at is opponent penalties. Statistically they should tend toward the mean for every team. If, after a suitable sample size, a team's opponents are given significantly more or less than average lattitude by the officials it raises questions. If it happens over the course of multiple seasons, it raises serious questions.

At Jordan-Rabbit it's just not unusual for the opposing team to get 16 penalties for 138 yards, like they did to Florida.

We got screwed repeatedly on these under Saban. Several yrs we were last in the country. Other yrs we were bottom 10.
