It's just very narrow. The concourses, the rows, seats, etc. Only one video board. It just feels like you're in an old stadium to me. Of course, all SEC stadiums are old, but some can mask the feeling.
Parking and concessions aren't great, either. That's less to do with the actual stadium, though.
The views are great from pretty much anywhere in the stadium, and it's the loudest venue I've been in outside of TS. So those are some good things.
I don't think you've been to JHS. LSU was a complete dump when I went in 2009. But still a fun stadium to watch a game, but JHS was no more "narrow". Sanford Stadium is by far the most narrow concourse, but still is a beautiful venue

The only thing I agree with you about is the concourse being narrow.
Well, if they're spending $150 million on improvements, they obviously think there are a few areas that need upgrading.
I think you are going to see that at every SEC School on a 10-15 cycle.

How many times has Alabama done it ?
AU decided to spend their money on the Auburn Arnea instead of investing in the Stadium. They did spend $25M within the last five years on bathrooms ,concessions and other infrastructure issues. With the SECN money, schools will make a lot of changes in the future,

What about the stadium elevator which supposedly kept Arkansas from beating y'all last year?

We'll just cut the cables in 2016. Fat fricks were sufficiently warned the first time.

A clock that works and a sound system that works.

I'm not trying to be an arse Irons.
We all know AU spent around $90mm on the new Arena. I've been to the Arena a few times and it's damn nice, I had a great time.
Just wondering when was the last time AU spent that kind of money on JHS? The '04 expansion?

That is a product of a stadium built in the 20s
Good point. To be specific, the stadium was built in 1939.

My bad, just thought you were questioning the will to spend that much money by another school. AU hasn't done anything of substance since the last upper deck expansion (1980s), but now are able to concentrate on some of those issues. Very foolish for schools to bank the SECN money for a rainy day. It will be an arms race from now on. The race will not be a "bigger is better" issue.
