Fields hasn't even taken a snap. He may be another Eason.
I'm not even doubting if he's awesome or not.

Do people really think he's going to overtake Fromm?

Tua is better than most of the QBs that were rated higher than him over the past 5+ seasons.

Bama is currently falling headfirst into what should be known as The Jeremy Johnson Vortex.

Let's give the kid more than 30 minutes of gametime before making these comparisons.

Very much doubt it this season, although I think he will have some goal line and short yardage packages where he comes in. In 2019, I think the position will be totally up for grabs.

If Fromm lights it up this season, I don't know how a guy with zero starting experience will beat out a guy with 2 seasons of lights out play.

Fields would have to be REALLY freakin' good

Exactly.

How many offensive linemen was Tyler Love ranked higher than?

I agree. You should give him more than 30 minutes of gametime before comparing him to a scrub like Johnson with what we've seen Tua be able to do.

Also, did Hurts transfer? Can Alabama not reach a NC with Hurts?

So Alabama has a QB who Alabama has been able to reach the NC with, twice. And another QB who was able to score 26 points in the second half of a NC to bring the team back for the win.

Yet Alabama is looking at a Jeremy fricking Johnson situation?

UGA fans are going to enjoy wathing him sit on the bench, like Alabama fans watched Tua most of this year. Otherwise, they may have a divided team.

Tua has proven himself all year long, not just for 1/2 against your very own defense, on the biggest stage in college football

Yeah, but Fromm can throw. Hurts at times was downright pitiful at throwing a football.

Truth. Fromm is better than Hurts, and the team played well for him. Smart is going to do the same think Saban did.

It is going to be a battle, but I have trouble seeing anyone out working Jake Fromm.

Come on, man. Your secondary might have been the weakest link in your defense, but they were still good enough to make the overall D one of the best in the country. Don't insult them to revise the narrative.

Sorry, I just love watching defense and dislike it when people don't give it due appreciation.
