This is actually an interesting topic. With Texas and OU leaving the Big 12 there is no blue blood team to fight for and Tech is striking while the iron is hot. If I am Auburn or a mid to lower tier team in the SEC why not move to the Big 12 and be a bigger dog in a smaller pond? Like it or not Tex and OU joining didnt help the SEC from a competitive standpoint, you didnt get 2 games on your schedule against teams that dont spend to win in football, it just made it more difficult to compete in recruiting NIL, transfer, etc.

Wrong. The SEC still looks very familiar, with a few new teams added in.
