There was no to threat to the player. Cam pushed him when he got up, the Arkansas player raised his hands, Cam may have said something, but does not take any further steps toward the player. Bert starts pushing Cam back, notice that Cam is moving backwards, and brushes Berts arm back, then Bert "stumbles." I do not have a problem with a coach protecting his player, but he overreacted in this case. I also expect coaches to show mature judgment, he was lacking that on this one. You can see that in the response to the flag. That was perhaps the most embarrassing part of the entire episode.

You have been presented with enough evidence. If you cant see what happened then you clearly just dont want to see. Dont let your hatred for Bert kill a good story

Bret was celebrating that the play didn't result in any injuries. With how Cam was acting it's anyone's guess who could have gotten hurt

Honestly he was celebrating our biggest play of the night. Im sure it had nothing to do with the excitement of the interception

These Arkansas fans really are delusional. I guess bert is so fat that he cast such a big shadow that they can't see. They need to move and come into the light and see it for what it is.

Watched it several times. Why was Cam moving backwards if Bert didn't have his hand, or arm on him?

he shows up clearly on a real camera. its amazing what you can "see" on a camera phone when you want to

scared of the Hog he cheapshotted?
If you believe Bert was pushing him with the back of his outstretched arm, then youre an idiot. He never makes contact, its in the video

Is Sabin scared of Bert? Why didn't he nut up and run across the field and get between his player and Bert? He could have impressed Bert's wife and perhaps gained the admiration of an actual 10

I'd back up if I just tried to shove Bret MF Bielema too

You're talking about SEC officials here... who often call what they don't see and don't call what they do see.

Alabama is one of the most penalized teams in tSEC this year. Can we let this narrative rest yet?

Why is Cam moving backward when the push occurs. It is pretty obvious that he is pushing Bert's' arm away from him. When Bert intervened the ref is already standing between the two. Bert steps in, and Cam is moving back. It is pretty clear if you look at how Cam is moving just before he pushes Bert's arm that Bert is in contact and apparently pushing him back, although he also appears to be willingly backing up, If he is such a threat, why is he moving backward? But Bert continues to engage, and notice the Arkansas players continue to advance toward Cam. Sorry but it looks like to me that Bert has his hand on Cam, not any other reason for Cam to react the way he did since he was clearly backing away. He intervened when he didn't need to, and it is pretty clear that he didn't need to.

It doesn't matter whether or not Cam said anything to Bert. A coach should never, under any circumstances, be on the field and in the face of an opposing player.
Wrong. Here's a circumstance for you. A coach getting between two players that look like they are about to lose their composure five feet in front of said coach. Because that is what happened. The flag was thrown for the late hit, nothing to do with Bert and this Travis Henry bullshite about faking getting pushed with two officials on either side of him.
The normally calm and composed coach's celebration was over the play resulting in an interception and the late hit penalty being tacked on in addition.
But to your point. Yes, if you have a weakling midget for a head coach, there are no situations when he should be on the field.
