All we have heard about for 15 yeas in basketball is SCHEDULE. Bama goes 13-5 in the SEC and it is tough shisky, you played nobody, RPI rules.
Now in CFB the schedule strength doesn't and the best four can not be considered, we have to consider conference champs, HORSE CRAP.
