Kentucky 1-0 (1949) against the mighty Citadel
I had to check because I fully expected us to make the list between the late 80's early 90s.

He was. Mostly he did a lot of recruiting.
Nutt... as much as it pains me to say this... was a very good recruiter at Arkansas. Not so much in other places, but he was solid at Arkansas.
He had the ties to dip into Texas and he was really good at finding the 2* and 3* players who were actually quite a bit better then their rankings.
Where he got exposed as a recruiter and HC was when he went to Ole Miss. He was hell on wheels the first two years with the Coach O's recruits. Then his inability to recruit and coach Mississippi talent came back to bite him in the butt.
He was a home state guy, with some ties to Oklahoma and Texas, that could do good in his home state. Once he left his comfort zone it was only a matter of time before things went South.

My point is most of Kentucky’s football wins against the ACC occurred before WWII and are irrelevant to modern day college football discussions. I guess if you’re a Kentucky fan you view your football heritage through the eyes of your great grandfather.
