That just doesn't sound like a Pat Dye MO brother. He was extremely careful how he spoke about opponents. He was a lot more likely to be coughing profusely as he spoke about a good team who was next as he showered that team with praise. I've just not known Pat Dye as a wolfer.

I like that the SEC east will become like the old SEC. Just wonder how the MS schools will feel about it, not being with Alabama or Auburn. Even if they do pods and end up with LSU and A&M.

Looking at the history of the SEC it appears that the last SEC east team to win it all was 2008 Florida. Maybe this is a sign of things to come with Bama. They could be the new Jawja.
If Saban isn’t there- Florida wins it’s all in 09, Georgia wins it all in 12 and 17

Looking forward to aTm vs texas again on a regular basis, is the only bright spot to TU and OU joining the SEC. Or, will the horns do their damnest to avoid the ags as much as possible?

From Auburn's and my own perspective, I wish we could re-establish "Amen Corner" as Pat Dye used to call it. Florida, Georgia, and Alabama in consecutive games was one hell of a way to end the season. Comparatively it wouldn't make our schedule any more difficult than it is already too.

Harrowing schedule. And if you recall, maybe 1 or 2 of those years had FSU as a 4th Amen Corner team.
