There are some who believe that it goes all the way back to Hamilton creating the Federal Reserve.
Hamilton got what he deserved. It was cleaned up later. The current version we have is thanks to Wilson.

Ok, so you know people bad at their job. That doesn't mean everyone is.

I consider that to be a consult.
And that person usually wouldn't consider themselves to be an expert.
You can tell this by the way they finish the advice they've just given to me:
Huh? A consultant is an expert in their field. That is why they are being consulted.
And I didn't offer any advice towards anything. I was just curious why the guy blamed boomers for the housing market. I know a little bit about the topic, and thus I am familiar with some of the problems. I was just curious what he would claim and if it would be a misconception.

The Ten Greatest Self-Taught Programmers of All Time
From that article:
quote:
Bill Gates is the philanthropic, billionaire Co-Founder of Microsoft and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Microsoft began when Bill Gates and Paul Allen coded the Altair Basic, an interpreter for the BASIC programming language originally built for the MITS Altair 8800 computer, which they build while they were still in college. Microsoft, of course, went on to become the world’s largest PC software maker. A lifelong learner and author of several books, including Business @ the Speed of Thought, Gates learned to program during lunch while he was still in middle school. Reflecting on coding during his childhood he recalled,
“I wrote my first software program when I was thirteen years old. It was for playing tic-tac-toe. The computer I used was huge and cumbersome and slow and absolutely compelling.”
Besides the horrific grammar and structure, it is a slide show article, or a "top ten" ranking article that has no real substance and flat out just uses wikipedia as it's main reference.
I suggest you read Malcolm Gladwell's 'Outliers' to learn why you are ignorant about Bill Gates and his education. Gladwell devotes an entire chapter to Gates in order to help illustrate the theme of the book.
Spoiler: Bill Gates had access to state of the art computers at a young age and to teachers that could nourish his education in those computers.
Something 99% of the population in those days didn't have.
He was not "self-taught". He did created something new and changed the entire landscape of the field, but he did that with the teachings and training he received in his youth.

But I’m sure you could’ve gotten into Harvard, NYU, Penn, and Berkeley - and I’m sure your mind is right there with some of the world’s most innovative people! LMAO!

It sounds like your job is more like a janitors positions. Where someone else with the ideas and design of the software created things, and you have to go in with the boring arse job of trying to optimize it for whatever reason.
What I can do in one day would take you three months - but you already knew that…

How very elite of you.
Those positions are what makes the world operate.
I'm going to ask you a simple question, and I want you to give me an honest answer:
What is the most important job/field/industry that makes a civilised society possible?
