This might be heresy but I really think our best chance is to run 3 wideout formations most of the game. But the patterns have to allow for no more than 3 seconds for Mett to get rid of the ball. He's not JFF, he's not going to extend plays much at all.

Then again, LSU had a defense that could stop a balanced attack, not sure about this year.

I can see UA scoring in the high 30's...wouldn't surprise me. Our O has to play well, that's all. But our D has to play better than they have all year.

Mett is going to have a good amount of time in the pocket. The pass rush is my least favorite part of Alabama this year. I think it's because I haven't seen a corner blitz work in...forever. Since last year unless I'm just completely missing one.

1. Bama's 2013 schedule... (no topic on the sec rant or tiger rant has received the type of bitch dedication from the LSU fanbase since Saban was announced as the head coach of Alabama)

In general, bridge scheduling bullshite was fricking gay.

2. Saban being announced as the head coach of Alabama (I wasn't around, but I assume it was pretty bad)

Wasn't that bad.

3. Bama didn't deserve to be there threads. (oh, we all remember these jewels). From the time okie state lost in 2011 til the NC game... Great memories.

Facts are facts.

4. Bama Holding threads... (Been absent this year... but there's a reason for that)

Maybe bitching worked?

5. The "PP7 Pick" ... his foot was in, and dan marino's laces were out.

Entire game is proof of the REC/SEC bias.

6. Barrett Jones Block(Holding) on the TJ Yeldon screen pass for the winning TD in 2012.

Almost as horrifying as the angle Loston took in pursuit (but not really, because Loston fricked up huge and Jones didn't even really flagrant hold)

Also, if LSU can prevent big special teams plays and any "bad" turnovers.. (picks in the endzone, muffed punts) and avoid more than one long bomb to Cooper.. it should be very much a football game in the 4th.

If not, I'll be busy cursing TM7 for costing us a BCS championship in 2012

Maybe I'm overstating UA's pass rush? I know ya'll don't don't have a lot of sacks but I thought ya'll were getting good QB pressure, in general. Is this not true? Dunno.

A'shawn Robinson has been a monster in the pass rush so far this year. He has 4 sacks as true freshman DT and I feel like every time I watch a team dry to drop back he is bull rushing some lineman into the QB's face. I think he will be one of the big keys for us on defense.

Adrian Hubbard has seemed to lack a bit of effort on the outside at times, but I don't think that will be an issue in this game. If you can't get up for the LSU game then there is something wrong with you.

ETA: Oh and this is basically how you can describe our defense every year :

That why I hope thy are practicing 2 reads then dump the ball. And the appropriate pass patterns for this. I'm sure Coach Cameron knows what he is up against and am really curious as to what gameplan he will try.

with his time in the NFL he's obviously familiar with facing down a 3-4 defense

If Mett has time in the pocket and the Alabama's DBs aren't on their game Alabama is in serious trouble. Not that LSU will win for sure or anything because we are very week over the middle but giving Mett time to get to Beckham and Landry will be lethal.

Of course he does but he has to take into account the talent at hand. This isn't Rivers, Brees or Flacco...he has a college QB that is playing pretty well save the Ole Miss game.

Ole Miss just took advantage of our tendency to always take advantage of the deep ball and they had the perfect defensive plan. I really do think Mett will come out ready and firing on all cylinders and don't be surprised if you see a LSU TE with a large amount of catches + yards this game.

I think the big difference for us defensively is that CJ Mosley has gotten much better against the run. I feel like Nico Johnson was in most of the time last year and he isn't half the cover guy CJ is. He will help out massively in the passing game.

Dude this is really old, you people think football is everything in life. If LSU was not in the SEC who else could you cry about? Believe me, LSU fans have been way over Saban for a long time and know LSU is much more than football and Saban, get real

Right. His 10 catches for the entire season should put the scare in every defense.

I guess Chavis is obsessed with stats just as much as you because that would explain why they didn't cover Kevin Norwood on that final drive last year.

I'm not obsessed with stats, but when you say we should be worried about a player, and he has 10 catches for the entire season, I call bs.
