On facing LSU's offense, I feel about this game much the same I felt about Auburn. Load up the box and dare Lee/Jefferson to beat you. Most likely they will. But you can't give LSU the opportunity to run on you by only putting 7 guys up there

This is exactly what we want defenses to do. This forces single coverage on Rueben Randle, no one can cover him one on one. Alabama did a good job of stopping our running game with only 7 in the box. They didn't let us go deep, but eventually we were able to run on them.

Pure Hypothetical: If Arkansas (or anyone) were to beat LSU this year, how would a team do this?
Stop the run and run the ball effectively (old school ditka ball).

There is a new thread (or 2 or 3) everyday from an LSU fan about how and why Arkansas can't win. I don't know if you are trying to convince yourselves or what, but it seems pretty insecure imo.

I'm not saying LSU is squeaky clean, but most of those people are from the tiger rant and shouldn't be taken seriously anyway. All schools around here have about a 50/50 split but with Arkansas it's more like 90/10 douchebag

And it's great to know how secure LSU fans have been 3 of the last 4 seasons... Keep up the positive outlook.

Yes we have a few, I imagine you do as well?

I'm not going to do that, and if you look at my past posts you'll see that I've been pretty complimentary of Arkansas as a team, It just seems to me that the Arkansas fans here are almost all horrible posters. I haven't been around here forever but in my experience it's nothing but one flame after another.

Then why did you post total team scoring avg. and then claim it as offense? Those stats are not scoring offense they are points/game

they have to be a little concerned about protecting Wilson against LSU.

This is the key. If we can keep Tyler somewhat clean I think he can move the ball. LSu's speed on the edge scares the shite out of me.

i know that's what you want. But if you have to choose getting manhandled to the tune of 15 play, 6 minute drives every time LSU has the ball or taking your chances that Lee/Jefferson make bad throws, I'll take my chances.

Throw 8-9 guy in the box. Bring some heat. Make the QBs beat us. If they have a good game, we'll get murdered. If they have a subpar game, we'll have a chance. That's the only way, IMO. Play 7 in the box and you'll gash us for 6 yards a pop.

It's rather pathetic that you judge your programs success off winning 3 of the last 4 against LSU

ideally, we build a lead with a quick-strike offense in the first half/first three quarters, and in the fourth quarter, we play ball control to run out the clock. Was that so hard to follow?

Curious comment, so I did a little research, which was pretty damn easy to find. So your offense builds such a lead at halftime due to your "quick strike offense" and then you shut it down in the second half. Let's see.

Average lead or deficit at halftime

Conference Games Only

* ArKansas losing by 2
* LSU winning by 11

Non-Conference
* ArKansas winning by 14 (against Missouri St., New Mexico, Troy and A&M)
* LSU winning by 16 (against Oregon, NW St., and W. Virginia)

Fair statement. I was lazy I guess.

No one is flaming anyone but you want us to say oh yeah LSU will kill us this year because they have blank and can do blank. When we are 3 out of the last 4 and almost always play LSU hard and tough. A lot tougher than other opponents play them. A lot is riding on this game though. The winner on either side could very well be playing for a National Championship.

Can you really blame LSU fans for being confident? We're the undefeated #1 team in the country and we just beat Alabama. I don't think any LSU fan seriously thinks we'll "kill you" but yeah we think we should win the game as long as we come out and play well. I don't think that's unreasonable.

I agree with this. The only difference is that this LSU team is way different that past years. Maybe its the attitude, or whatever but they dont play down to anyone (not that Arky is way "down" from us). In the past we've had nail-biters every weekend against shite teams. This year we have a different mentality, leadership whatever. I think we'll win by at least 14 and I wouldnt be shocked if it was 20+..

If you really believe that I feel sorry for you. If Arkansas does beat LSU, which there is a small chance it could happen, there is no way in hell they jump a team that humiliated them so bad.
