How come they were able to amass the same number of rushing yards, just a week earlier, against Tennessee as LSU?
the flaw in your thinking is that the transitive property works in college fb, which it doesn't. there is no doubt that scar is struggling mightily on offense. no doubt at all.

Wins, like points, are a team measure.

So, according to you, an offense that can pick up lots of yards, but can't score many points is a very successfull offense.

LOLwut.

LSU is playing at home, is #1 in the nation, has a top 2-3 D in the nation, a stellar running game, and has beat the shite out of almost everyone but Bama.

Arkansas is playing on the road, has a terrible Defense, got curbstomped by a team LSU beat on the road, and needed giant comebacks against Ole Miss and Vandy, two abysmal teams.

Anyone who thinks that Arkansas should win is the fricking idiot.

Can YOU ignore the FACT that the running game is better than it was against Bama?
based on what? stats? i wouldn't use ole miss and vandy as any kind of barometer of rushing success. you won't even know this after this weekend.

Can YOU ignore the FACT that by the time our game against LSU rolls around we'll be the healthiest we've been all season?
this still doesn't mean that ark's offense is significantly better than lsu's or that ark will win the game.

Ohhhh okay. So what you're saying is, points, yards, interceptions, sacks, defense...all of that...it's meaningless. Because it's transitive. Wins and losses is the only thing that matters. So by that measure, LSU is awesome (never argued) and Arkansas is slightly less awesome?

do you know what the transitive property of equality is?

eta - I'll tell you.....if A=B, and B=C, then A=C

It's funny that the majority of Arky fans act like a child trying to get their parent's attention and as soon as you start talking to them they think you're obsessed with them.

it might not be but, the odds are that it will be. here's why

lsu is very, very good in the run game. ark is not so good at stopping the run, healthy or not. this means lsu controls the clock. lsu might even be losing at the half but, ark's d is going to wear down. this opens up the pass when lsu has 3rd and long.

all of that keeps ark's offense off the field and limits their chances. defensively, lsu can definitely hold their own against ark's one dimensional offense. lsu will get pressure on wilson which will limit ark's passing success.

special teams, no need to comment.

if lsu plays the way it has all season and ark plays the best game it's played in the last decade, lsu can still win by more than 20 points. anyone who has watched either team at all this season should see this.

now, lsu could have 5 turnovers and ark could capitalize. however, this doesn't seem likely. it might be that lsu emotionally committed the entire season to the bama game and will suck the next 3 games. again, unlikely. ark will probably score in the neighborhood of 17-20 points. lsu will probably put up 30.

That's a good question.

I always assumed that an effective offense (putting up lots of yards), would be good in the red zone. But I suppose it's possible that they have to settle for lots of field goals.

So I guess something like yards per play plus red zone efficiency would tell me more about an offense than points per game.

if any pig on this board thinks their o-line is going to last 4 quarters...hell, even 3 quarters...should have to wear a helmet.

and thats what it all boils down to...

our o-line >>>>>>>> your d-line
our d-line >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> your o-line

this is where the game is won and this is why arky doesn't stand a chance. Spread should be LSU -24

ETA: LSU is also better than Arky at every position on the field besides QB. deal with it
