I've said it at least 2 times in previous posts in this thread.

quote:

I just think it's illogical to use yards and yards only to determine the success-fulness/effectiveness of an offense. It carries weight but not all of it. If you want let's try to assign a measurable amount of input that different aspects contribute. I would think (since the main goal is to score) that points (scored by the offense) should be about 50%, yards should be between 25-35% and turnovers 15-25%.

A better representation is probably something like yards per play.

For instance, if I had to choose one offense to go 5 yards to get a 1st down, would I choose the offense that scored 40 points a game at 4 yards per play? Or would I choose the offense that scored 35 points a game at 6 yards per play?

Statistically, you're better served to choose the offense that generates more yards per play.

Wouldn't call that a FACT. You have two games to play before you play LSU, anyone could get hurt.

Considering, at this point in time - today, that we're the healthiest we've been since Bama...not wishful thinking at all. Considering that another starter is returning from injury this week? Also, not wishful thinking.

FYI-The tiger stadium scoreboard only keeps track of points, it does not keep track of yards.

Jesus Christ.

No shite.

Same goes for ANY team.

I'm talking about the fact that guys who were hurt, will be/are back.

no, your defense is worse and lsu's offense is significantly better. also, lsu's defense is better.

...if that's the case, the LSU fans in here who have yet to effectively refute my points must be super shitty.

I count exactly ONE tiger with a logical argument. Sad.

Who's a better running back? Tim Tebow or Darren McFadden? Obviously it's Tebow, right? He scored more rushing TD's.

Tebow also can claim a Bowl game win!
