On the same team in the same system. It worked. That is what you call an apples to apples comparison.
Do you understand what I posted now? Trying to sub Tua for Mayfield who plays on a differently built team with a different system makes zero sense. None.

Yes we won the game. Loved every minute watching yet another Kirby blown lead. Sounds just like the guy he replaced

because we were handicapped by a very limited QB for a half of football. Which is the topic of this thread that it is very likely had Tua started the game the score would have been something like 45-20 or so. We won't know. Regardless what we do know is Georgia choked and it was actually Alabama that made the adjustments to win the game.

No. It is called, "I'm going to try to change history to make my team look better."

It isn't enough to point to what actually happened? You have to try to say, "What if...."?
Okay. I'll play and let's see how it works.
"Let's assume Georgia won the National Championship game!"

See how stupid it is? It didn't happen, so why play "What if..."?

It was one half of an entire season.

If he handicapped you so much, you need to make an appointment with Nick Saban and tell him you don't like the way he handles the team.

Nice try.
Something more realistic would have been 42-3.

he figured it out. Which is why he made the change at Halftime. Tua is our starter. The only people on here that want it to be Hurts are Auburn, LSU, or Georgia fans. For obvious reasons.

Georgia had their once in a lifetime chance and blew it. Maybe in another 35 years you will get back and win.

I said halftime.

You took the bait before any UGA kiddo did ha.
Getting defensive before a comment is even made...Impressive.

Oh. that’s not true. It’s a dumb point. Halftime =/= overtime.

No, I am not even talking about hurts.
The ou performance in half 1 was much better than bama’s performance in half 2.
Halftime adjustments enabled us to shut down a much better offense, so it makes sense to think we could have had similar success with a halftime to adjust to Tua.

Baker Mayfield was way better at the end of the 17 season than Tua was at the same time....
We beat Mayfield....starting Tua would have given us plenty of time. Not to mention one of his TD passes was the benefit of a wr starting way before the ball snapped.

It is the sole reason why you lost the game.
Some lucky breaks/calls, breakdowns on Off and def on the part of UGA from getting a bit conservative and letting pressure affect them, plus production from N. Harris and a handful of other freshman helped as well. Bama had 5 true freshmen on the field at multiple points.
But, to the other topic. Yes, CKS would have adjusted to Tua at halftime. However, I also think we would have seen the intro of Jalen in the second half to stay ahead of the adjustments and keep them off balance.
It is a truly great dual QB situation UA has if they can manage it well.

It tua had a good first half, I doubt saban takes him out.

It's not baseball. I'm not saying he is benched, but I guarantee he'd do it to:
A. Create multiple dilemmas for the UGA D to counteract adjustments and maintain momentum
B. Reward the QB1 who led the team all year by providing packages in situations that better fit his skillset

Hurts just isn’t good enough to warrant such a move. The only reason he made the move to qb2 to begin with was because of that.
