If we lose it won't be by more than a touchdown.

WSU definitely experienced growing pains last year. Leach calling them out for being “exhumed corpses”. They beat Washington to end the season. Lost by 7 to Stanford, gave up an INT for a TD. Lost to UCLA by 8 when they gave up a blocked FG for a TD, a fumble return for a TD and a safety. It was a transition year. I expect they got a lot of the kinks worked out. Should be a close game with AU.

Yes. This and Bama are the two surest things on that board.

LSU and Wash. St. seem like the best bets to me. I don't really like any of those lines.

USCe -11 vs. UNC South Carolina should win this by 20, but it will be closer for no reason. UNC +11 would be my bet.

Damn that goal-line stand. The weather delay would have been the perfect "no reason".

OM -3 at Vandy Ole Miss had them beaten handily last year until their QB got hurt. Revenge motive and other such stuff. Take Ole Miss and spot the 3 points.

Whew!

1-1

...so far.

Auburn will NOT beat Wazzou State by more than 14 points my god. This team put 40 on Stanford and Auburn's secondary is terrible.

Fresno St. was a 10.5 pt favorite. They beat Rutgers 52-51. If Arky doesn't beat them, for shame.

I have to agree...actually Toledo is a pretty darn good team. UF by 13-14 pts and close until 3rd qt?

VT will be warm garbage as always. Bama should win easily. Give VT the points.

2-1

Kentucky sucks. WKU was better than their name the last year or so, but will struggle this year with the adjustment to BP. Should be a close game, though. Take Kentucky minus 4.5 but hard to feel strongly about this one.

2-2

quote:

Usually I would expect a good SEC defense to shut down a Big XII faux offense, but MSU isn't a good defense by SEC standards, and they have a history of getting smoked by non-conference offenses. WVU and Oregon in the last 10 years are the most notable examples. Still, a close enough game to take State with the 12.5.

2-3

quote:

TAMU -26.5 vs. Rice Don't know much about Rice, but A&M won't be as good as everyone thinks. I'd take Rice here.

3-3

quote:

UF -24 vs. Toledo UF has lately been a little sluggish in these opening yawners. 24 is a lot, so I guess take the points, but this is one you'd be crazy to bet. UF by 50 would be just as likely as by less than 24.

4-3

quote:

Arky -11 vs. UL-L The big revenge game. Only about 300 people in Lafayette will realize it's not the same "Louisiana" that beat them last year. Arkansas by 20.

5-3

quote:

UGA -1.5 at Clemson Shouldn't be a problem for the Dawgs. Notwithstanding our no-show in the Peach, Clemson sucks. Take Georgia.

5-4

quote:

LSU -4.5 vs. TCU (Jerryworld) There used to be a time you could trust LSU against any non-SEC team. Now you can't if it's a bowl game or a mid-major. But regular season, especially season opener, against a ranked BCS-AQ league team? Money. LSU will roll, spot the points.

6-4

quote:

Tennessee is a 51 point favorite over Austin Peay. Surprising they've even got a line on this one. UT is obviously better, but AP will be fired up. I will guess the Vols will be a little conservative and a little sluggish. Take the 51.

7-4

quote:

Missouri is a 38 point favorite over Murray State. The Tigers can probably beat them as badly as they want, and 38 isn't asking too much, I guess. A shaky nod to Mizzou.

8-4

Decent week.
