I have one co-worker whos son is on Auburn's team;his brother played at LSU; and another friends son that play defense. I have been the
past two years to several games at Auburn non
conference; I had never heard of the teams you
guys played. We all have weaker schedules from year to year, bujt strength of schedule is part of choosing the NC contender. I say we all add a few of the big teams other conferences and
in the end iit makes us look even better.

You insulted LSU first because your looking for a reason not to acknowledge we won the 07 N.C. for no reason but jealousy...I don't argue your team was good that year, it was and I felt bad for you guys, but it's an imperfect system, LSU
won 03 & 07 fair and square.

2004. I think Auburn could have pulled it off. Tubbs would have found a way. USC would have shot themselves in the foot.

if Auburn could have beaten USC in 02 or 03, they would have punched their ticket to the NCG in 04. But since they dropped both games, people wrote them off against USC in 04.

No, they started too far back in the polls and would have not jumped Oklahoma or USC without a loss. Remember, Oklahoma was the favorite going into the title game.

Well it's an interesting point...couldn't have hurt, that's for sure.
