congrats you beat the worst QB in UT's history by 10
We might be saying the same next year and the year after that too.
UT has big issues at QB for next couple of years.
Look no futher than the "U".... That Harris kid is making a huge impact... The HC is going to get saved..before his arrival, the U was dead

Harris may be the best QB in the country outside of McCoy and Bradford. His throws are amazing!!
I feel sorry for whoever has to play Miami for the next few years..

Tennessee was able to set the pace for the game on both sides of the ball.
Puh-lease.
Did you watch the game?
Did you see the stats?
Did you see the second half?
Did you see the last 6 minutes where Kiffin never did hurry up, or speed up, his offense?
Delusional, you are.
Facts:
UF players had the flu and Kiffin suggested in his typical frat-boy way Meyer was lying.
Kiffin did NOT try to win the game when UF (read Tebow) fumbled inside UT's 10 and UF gave UT a gift 15 yds on a dumbass penalty (legit call by the way) that all led to a 10-pt game.
Get the ball back w/ 6 minutes and DO NOT speed up your offense one bit even though you need 2 scores?
Yeah, they threw the ball- for 1 and 2 yd gains.
Oooh, they really played to win AND set the pace for the game alright.
UT is 1-2 after LOSING to UF.
Maybe Kiffin needs to get ready to start pumping gas. (See his comments to a SC recruit).
That's all his fratboy mouth does anyway.

Lane Kiffin gets a "signature loss" vs UF and they're singin' Rocky Top all night long up in Notsville.
Reality check: Last season UF benefitted from a punt return for a TD, a turnover deep in UT territory, a UT fumble lost right at the UF goal line and UF still only won the game 30-6. This season, two turnovers by Tebow cost UF two scoring opportunities and gave two more to UT, UF was without Harvin & Murphy, Spikes was playing injured and left the game early in the second half, some UF players were sick with the flu, and the score was 23-13. In reality, UT played UF just as close & tough with Fulmer & Chavis as they did with Lane & Monte.

so called facts
Two players had symptoms, maybe it effected the game, maybe not. I thought Florida was supposed to be two deep at every position?
IIRC, UT scored on that drive in less than four minutes, mostly on the ground. The penalty helped.
UT had 9 plays on the final drive. Six of the nine plays were passes and that includes the 'grounding' pass and the interception thrown by Crompton. They should've ran it.
I sure didn't see Florida making any big plays on offense or giving Kiffin his welcome to the SEC beating. UT was still in the game with 6 minutes left when every fan and pundit in the nation said it would be over by half-time. What Florida did do well was limit their mistakes. Only two turnovers from the team that put the ball on the ground six times the week prior. UT got 10 of their 13 points off those turnovers.
NOTE: I said UT controlled the PACE of the game. I did not say the were in control of the scoreboard at any time. There is a difference.
Another viewpoint
here's the real surprise that's underlying all of these stories from Saturday. Kiffin had a smarter gameplan than Urban Meyer and I think that surprised Meyer. For all his bluster and big talk, Kiffin's game plan was remarkably conservative -- run the ball on offense and take away Florida's potential for big plays on defense. In so doing, Kiffin limited his team's weaknesses while restricting the other team's strengths. The only real way Tennessee could win this game was by scoring off Gator mistakes. And what's the best way to create mistakes? Make the opposing team run as many plays as possible against the best unit of your team, the Vol defense. If this game was a shoot-out, only one team would have been firing their weapon. And that team wouldn't have been Tennessee.
..The upshot of Kiffin's gameplan was that Tennessee controlled how Saturday's game was played for the first time in five years.
I think that surprised Meyer. I really do.

First, Kiffin runs his mouth months before the game is played.
Then, right before the game, he talks about how awesome Florida, Tebow, etc, are.
After the game, he starts running his mouth again.

So w/ less than 3 minutes to go you want to keep running the ball and still have time to score twice. Gotcha.
Kiffin's gameplan was good and I, being a monday-morning QB, certainly expected him to slow the game as much as possible.
The game was headed to a similar score as last year as posted by somebody earlier so in reality there is not much difference btn Kiffin and Fulmer right now...
except the new coach runs his mouth off the field but is unable to back it up on the field.
Earn your stripes before taking your shots. (See Spurrier at UF)
