Kiffin has done absolutely nothing in the past to indicate he would get a team to that level....absolutely nothing

How about the fact that Kiffin is the best recruiter out of the coaches currently in the east and skullfricked both Richt and Spurrier with lesser talent.

It's amazing how much people hate the guy because he wasn't afraid to speak his mind.

At USC he is. I'm not sold that he necessarily would be at Tenn.

Spurrier may be my favorite coach in college football and trounced LSU consistently during the 90's when I was first going to games. I love the guy. He's earned the right to be cocky and outspoken. Kiffin was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple.

UT was way more talented than both teams. Its not even a comparison. UGA got beat by UK and USCe got beat by UConn

a total of 8 draft picks.

Tennessee's current roster has more draft picks on it than that and it is not exactly stacked.

8 draft picks on a roster is middle of the pack in this league, which is where we finished.

Kiffin had commitments from 2 of the top 5 players in the state of GA and 2 of the top 5 players in the state of SC at the time he left.

Tennessee has had 8 players drafted off that team. South Carolina 10. Georgia 17.

And Tennessee was way more talented?

I think he's a good recruiter but I do not believe that his recruiting would have necessarily been akin to what he's doing at USC right now.

I like to imagine my Lane Kiffin at the end of a quarter mile drag strip with Petrino blazing at him on a track motorcycle popping a wheelie while Fulmer watches from the stands eating two funnel cakes.

Not in 2 years. Those guys are all potential, as of right now.

UT was third in the SEC, only behind UF and Bama, in 2010 with 6. UT had the same number as LSU, Penn State, and Texas

As I said, outside of those 6 we had virtually nothing behind them. Absolutely nothing. You acting like having 8 guys drafted off a team is impressive is hilarious, especially when a team we assraped had 17.

South Carolina had 2 draft picks in 2010, and UGA had 5. Only one draft pick was under the 5th round for UGA.

UGA had 5 with 0 picks below the fourth round... Stop saying we had nothing behind them. Gerald Williams, Prentiss Waggner, Dallas Thomas, Jarrod Shaw, Willie Bohannon are some of the players who were the back ups. All solid players

So AJ Green, Brandon Boykin, Orson Charles, Blair Walsh, Ben Jones, etc. weren't on that team?

If the 2009 version of those players is your definition of solid, I would like to know who you consider to be mediocre.

so by your criteria are we to assume that Houston Nutt is far more superior than Kiffin? Seeing as he blew him off his field in Oxford.

Not one guy you named got drafted in 2009.

Orson Charles didn't even start against UT, and Blair Walsh is a kicker...
