The quality of backups on the 2009 team were as bad as any Tenneseee team in recent memory.
Cory Eiccholtz, Tyler Wolf, the Sullins twins, Nigel Mitchell-Thornton, Chase Nelson, Anthony Anderson, and tons of true freshman were getting significant snaps.
Chase Nelson and Cory Eiccholtz only played in 2 games in 09. Only about 6 true freshmen played meaningful snaps in 09. Most of them were at skill positions like receiver and runningback. I think Greg King and Janzen were the only true freshmen to start that year.

What he is saying is that basically you guys are a bunch of college aged dumbasses if you believe kiffin did anything good for you. I know that not all tenn fans feel quite like a few of you on here do though. Some understand the damage the guy did at the school....hell, you guys seem to worship this guy like bama fans worship saban...except that kiffin did jack shite.
I don't love the guy, but I am saying he would have done well, like he's doing well now.

I really wanted to leave but now the truth finally comes out. Acting like the dynamics of the two places and two conferences would result in similar outcomes is ridiculous.

I'm still not sure what you're getting at.
If Dooley said he planned to build something special when he took the job, I wouldn't have believed it, but I wouldn't have thought he was trying to bullshite us.

I don't think he would be contending for a national championship, but I do think Tennessee would be the clear favorite in the East.

yes, you know that for a fact...just because

ike he's doing well now.
what exactly did he do last year....he has the best talent, overall, by far, in a weak conference.....he had that from Pete C.....It's not hard to recruit on the West Coast given the level of competition over there. Kiffin didn't win the Conference championship or anything last year.....so far he has done absolutely nothing at USC. Inb4bowlban....you are essentially saying he is doing well now based on pre-season rankings and the media love. They only play a few teams worth a shite...and if fortunate to make it to Miami they will get skull fricked by whomever the SEC puts there...primarily due to poor depth.

And I really can't refute what we both don't know. I think your statement is absurd to be honest, but like Kiffin's statements, it's tough to refute something that cannot be proven because it just becomes two people on a message board disagreeing. Personally, I prefer my stance though.

Janzen Jackson, Savion Frazier, and Greg King disagree.
Greg King didn't start in either game. Prentiss Waggner started in place for Janzen. Janzen is better, but Waggner is still a good player.

Why? The team would be significantly better. Who was going to stop him? Muschamp sucks, and I don't think Spurrier and Richt enjoyed facing Kiffin.
It's not like I'm saying he would crush Alabama or shut out LSU this year. But there's not much doubt that Tennessee would be much better off right now.

lmao....this i do not doubt, after your professed love for kiffin....wow. Kiffin has done absolutely nothing in the past to indicate he would get a team to that level....absolutely nothing.....it's almost like you just need someone or something to believe in at tenn.....i'm like tiger authority...it is hard to leave this unbelievable bs....but i've had enough of 18 year old reasoning.

Anyone could have done well with USC last year.
The pac 12 was so bad a 6-8 team played in the conference championship and 3 head coaches were fired.

Kiffin had a much better team than Richt and Spurrier

Because you don't have a fricking clue dude. He's not there and you're arguing over what you think would happen if everything was completely different. Why do you know? Just because? That's absurd man.

Maybe. Maybe not. He didn't exactly leave tenn sitting in gold when he left. Far from it.

Aren't you doing the same thing?

Yes. That's because he left weeks before signing day. Not because he was doing a poor job.

lmao.....the unknown is always so much better than the known isn't it......for tenn to be the clear favorite in the east, they would have to be on the level of lsu/bama....they wouldn't be close to that even if he was everything and more you say he is......truth is you have two top 10 teams in the east...and you still wouldn't be favored.....period......you didn't have the talent, and the talent he brought in is largely out on the streets now or in jail.

I know when he left. Still didn't exactly have Tenn positioned on solid footing.

That's because he inherited an awful roster.

Serious question
What is USC's record last year if they lost Barkely and Woods? The only reason they won games last year

A roster with two first rounders, and a total of 8 draft picks. I bet tons of coaches would love to have that.
