I always thought that Sark was a poor man’s Lane Kiffin. Ofc it’s hard to say that now after Alabama’s historic offensive production, but who’s to say Kiffin couldn’t have put up the same numbers?

Anyway, the point is that while Sark was just hired at TEXAS, Kiffin went to FAU, and only recently was hired at Ole Miss. Kiffin in my opinion is a much more proven head coach than Sark, and outside of Saban and Dabo, probably the best HC in the country. Why is he at Ole Miss instead of a much more premier program? Just saying... no offense to Ole Miss, but Kiffin should be competing for national championships somewhere. I think he’d be a slam dunk hire for FSU, Miami, Michigan, or even USC/UCLA. I’d like to see him revive a traditional football program with a bigger fanbase than Ole Miss, even though I’m sure he’s gonna do great things there. He almost beat us in year one...

Were you not paying attention when he was at Raiders, UT, and USC? I think he will succeed at Ole Miss but he needs to show some promise given his track record. His first class at OM is also pretty pedestrian. Its not AU or USC bad but its not Hugh Freeze good either.

The Raiders were a shitshow, he did really well at UT - he landed a great recruiting class, and USC was on probation. Plus, he’s a different guy these days. Like Sark, he benefited greatly from the Saban coaching rehab clinic

Not Kirby Smart? Is he like the one on the show "Get Smart" as Maxwell Smart?

I don't think Lane is underrated. He's one of the first coaches fans ask after when going through a coaching transition

You obviously aren’t paying attention. He maximize this class given the situation. Most of the kids he sighed have never been to campus or met the coaches in person. He did a fantastic job with this class.

Are you kidding? At this point in his career, the Ole Miss gig is a gift.

Has not proved a thing yet.

And for anyone who wants to bring up his time at Bama, he coached a terrible game against Ohio St, got neutered in 2015 after the Ole Miss debacle, and did not show up for the 2nd national title game against Clemson.

I could be OC for a Saban Bama team and figure out a way to win a title in 3 years.

Everyone is dealing with this situation. We are 7th in the SEC.

Can you name anyone in this class by name? It has a big time QB that will be the guy to bridge to Arch. The top 2 JUCO DT that are immediate players in our most important area of need and multiple playmakers at WR that we haven’t had for a couple of years along with a 3 year starter at TE. He only missed on a big LB and there is still one in play along with a huge potential DT in Tywon Malone. You just aren’t paying attention.

And yes we are 7th in the SEC. We just came off a 4 year stretch of no bowl games and Matt Luke. Are you expecting a top 10 class? (Which would still only be about 5th in the SEC.
