KT: I've gone back and forth on that issue many times. A) It allows a lot of people a chance at a degree that previously wouldn't have it, for free*. B) LSU for instance had ~$135MM in revenue and pays Les Miles ~$4.5MM a year. The players are getting an avg of ~$30k in stated benefits per year to go to LSU and risk injury to play. Even with the full scholarships, we know a lot of kids are still struggling to make ends meet, as playing college athletics and going to school leaves no time for a part-time job.

I don't really want to debate it, because I'm honestly not sure which side I'm on. I think the solution is somewhere in the middle with some sort of stipend for players. The arguments on both sides are solid. Let's not forget ESPN, CBS, etc raking it in off these players either.
