The game evolves. There was a time when players played both ways.

Then the game evolved became more specialized. Not only does a guy not play both sides, he only plays in specific situations.

It has evolved again. Defensive players must be more versatile. You have to be efficient in all phases. Pass rush, stop the run, defend in coverage. When your substitutions are limited, the guys on the field have to able to do the job at hand.

The Flying Wedge ain't coming back.

And the defense can fake an injury as they adapted to the rules and the player has to sit out a play. Just like a good DB knows when to take the 15 yard penalty.

This is the shitty dumbed down version of the game people like you wanted, so here you go. Enjoy your gimmicks in what used to be a game of strategy.

Pretty sure Kirk should not be talking about ethics after he and Saban conspired against FSU.

I knew I couldn't have a rational discussion with a Bammer.

No, I would like a game like it was in the 1970s. When even the QB had to take hits. Guys like Tua wouldn't last a game.

You sound like Nick Saban crying like a bitch over the up tempo.

See you October 19th, fast tempo and all.

No, offenses run to the line and take play calls from the line instead of the huddle in order to make it impossible for the defense to substitute players.

The offense is also unable to substitute players (by choice) in this situation, so this strikes me as fair to both sides of the ball. As someone else suggested, recruit more versatile players.

Another Tennessee alt binge posting, say it isn’t so. That’s what happens when your entire self-worth is based on the success of your favorite team.

Defenses adapted. You are the one crying.

Because the rules aren't skewed towards the offense enough these days right?

You are seething on the inside big fella. Enjoy the win rather than whining how unfair it was that OU interfered with the offensive genius of you fat arse coach.

ETA: Sorry I just realized you are an alter. Troll away loser man.

You're an idiot. In the literal sense.

You're some clown on an Internet forum. I have real things to worry about.

Of course they are.

Defenses will have to adapt without faking injuries all game long.

You have absolutely no way to police it.

Maybe it's the offenses that need to adapt if what they are doing is so easily countered.

Both teams are playing on the same clock. If you're too slow to answer, take the loss.

Or teams will continue to slow the down the offense within their control and within the rule book.

If you allow the turbo, you’re going to have counter play. It’s not unethical, it’s allowed within the rules.

These fake injures add massive amount of time to the game.

We have already seen some of the idiotic rules they have put in place to shorten games. Look for more of those rules if we don't stop all the flopping.

We all know the one thing they won't do to shorten games, is shorten the commercial minutes.

Sorry your alter isn’t getting the traction you wanted. I’m sure name calling is gonna boost your cred though.
It must be hard knowing deep down that the big orange is mostly smoke and mirrors. Is that why you made this alter? You didn’t want the embarrassment when the Vols flame out again. But hey, you’ll have always got scoring 50 on NC State going for you.

It’s a football game. There is no higher situation. The athletic trainers are interested in the well being of the team whether a player is actually injured or not, they will be aiding them.

You really are this dumb. Wow.

officials don’t want to guess whether a player is faking or not.

They should have someone in Birmingham reviewing plays and when it is as obvious, penalize the team in some form after the game. Suspend coaches or fine them.
