Nobody but some Arkansas homers will say Arkansas is a NC contender next year. You guys need a defense which you still won't have. You're losing a great bulk of what you had this year already there, and it's not like you've been recruiting much defense...

and nobody but LSU hogsessors will say we aren't, especially when we'll be preseason top 5-10, have a favorable road schedule and play LSU and Bama at home.

We did better this season I expected, Young O-line, best RB out for season, TW first starting year and we posted a 11 win season with a bowl win(When the frick does that happen for Ark?). We return TW, get a top 3 SEC rb(If he returns to form) back. So yes we are very optimistic.
The only ?'s we have is at WR and we are hoping for DGB to come in and start, along with many other talented young WR's.

Being in the discussion and actually doing something with it are two different things. Y'all were kind of in the discussion this year and it was obvious y'all didn't belong on the field with us.

Incorrect, nobody will say Arkansas is a NC contender besides Pig homers because you simply aren't without a defense. Once Petrino figures that out completely (hey step 1 was getting the bad DC out), maybe one day you get in the discussion.

Petrino not that great on the road in SEC at 6-10, even going 2-2 this year to improve that looked bad in blowouts vs. Bama/LSU and scraping by 2 teams with losing records by a combined 8 points. Also, doesn't look good next year for Hogs vs. LSU. Should beat Bama finally, but we all know how much Petrino has struggled vs. Alabama all 4 years there.

I'm just saying, when the polls came out and Arky was number 3 before our game y'all were talking national championship appearance. It's obvious that didn't matter. I'm not saying Arkansas never will, but they will have to recruit better to actually win a national championship.
