Be me.
My team wins several national championships in the span of three years with a Sugar Bowl win capping a five year run.
Loses head coach.
Looks for dudes.
University of Florida can't find anyone.
Yeah, literally no one wants the Florida job.
Hire dude with zero head coaching experience at a pretty prestigious program.
Dude changes offense in spite of never having played, contemplated or coached offense.
Guy goes 4 - 8.
Loses to Vandy at home for the first time, a feat that had not been accomplished during my mother's entire life.
Loses to an FCS for the first time ever.
Goes 1 - 5 against rivals.
Annnnnnnd he's still at the school.
I believe this stuff, we'll hire this guy next.

That would be me. And I do understand. Bama fans are under the spell of the wizard. I mean, just last week, Bama Nation was leading the jeers against Kiffin. Now they are hailing him as a savior.
It is flat out amazing.
Especially knowing he always leaves a huge crater of misery and destruction when he is inevitably let go.
Always.

Yeah, this is another head scratcher of cosmic proportions.
I do not understand how Muschamp is still the HBC at Florida. It makes sense on no level whatsoever.

quote:Precisely. If bama is the coaching mecca that tide fans would have you believe, why did nick take kiffin when he should have easily been able to lure someone with more credibility? lane's lone successful tenure as an OC was over 8 years ago, and he apparently split playcalling duties with Sark. And that's not to mention that Gary Crowton could have put up huge numbers with the talent SC had on the offensive side of the ball, especially considering how woeful PAC defenses were during that time. I can only assume that nick wanted someone that he could control, and who could be better for that role than someone who has lost all dignity & respect in the realm of college football.
However, there are plenty of experienced coaches who could get the OC job done without the unnecessary baggage that accompanies Lane Kiffin.

The only sense it makes is that he has like, an 8 million dollar buy back off of the extension they gave him prematurely. But seriously, colleges have lost their damn minds lately.
