Kicking LSU out of SEC….

Is such a sensationalist talking point, but for fun let’s think about this.
1. LSU has always acted within the rules regarding these 5 for 5 athletes.
2. If the courts rule against the athletes tomorrow or in the future, LSU has always said they will willingly comply.
So, if the SEC attempts to kick out LSU based on following court rulings then they will have a case to sue the SEC.
And if for somehow it works out that LSU is successfully booted from the conference, it’s not like they are going to the SunBelt. The Big 10 would scoop up LSU in a heartbeat. That would give them a powerful brand in the South. The Big 10 paid their members 76 million each this past year ( SEC paid 72 million). Then tv contracts will be renegotiated soon- will the SEC get dinged in tv contracts for replacing LSU with the likes of Fl State, Clemson, or North Carolina? How much more will the Big 10 make by adding a brand like LSU….I suspect a lot.

This is because the SEC isn’t buying the Kiffin verbiage…
Kiffin has said they will follow what the court allows, not the same thing as SEC rules.
He just said they’ve been in touch with the SEC, not that they will follow existing SEC rules. It’s clever details.
Clearly pointing to a judge’s ruling for tomorrow and saying that if SEC rule isn’t valid per that judge, it is therefore not a valid rule. Doesn’t exist.
