I live in Missouri, in my three years here, the only place I’ve been that seems to support Mizzou is in Columbia. I’ve lived all over the nation and world with the military, I’ve never seen a place care so little about college football than Missouri
Nailed it.

Also, my take that there aren’t many alumni networks bigger and more organized than A&Ms isn’t anecdotal, it’s a fact. Let me just ask this, when I still lived in Hawaii when I was stationed there we’d regularly have around 80 folks show up at 6 am watch parties, how many you think would, get together for a Mizzou game. In DC you’d have a couple hundred get together for, games, how about Mizzou? That said, in bars an hour and half away from Mizzou’s main campus, you can’t even get their games on tv

Did I say there were more Aggie fans than Texas fans in Texas. Hate them but they are one of the biggest brands in the nation
Nope I just said being irrelevant in your own state would be something you know about. I was in Texas for 6 months doing contract work living dead center in the state and I saw virtually no aggy gear or anyone who talked about college sports other than the whorns. Hell I even met more tech fans than ags.

Being an Aggie fan has to be brutal lmao.
At least when Mizzou sucks we're still #1.
Aggie is behind the Longhorns, Baylor, TCU, TTU, etc.
Brutal

Hill country, San Antonio was the best places I went. Great wine country and the ww2 museum was great. Just no aggy gear in sight. RIP.

I love how you internet folks talk so tough. Yes, it’s sucks to be a member of an alumni network that from any where in the world you will find other Aggies to hang out with. I remember getting off the plane when I got to Afghanistan, as I stepped off the plane somebody saw my Aggie ring and I immediately had a large group of Ags to hang out with in the little down time I had. I live in Missouri near Fort Leonard Wood, you know what game gets played at the local bars when A&M and Mizzou are playing at the same time, Aggie games because there are more of us.

The nonsensical internet trolling makes for a shite experience on boards like this

I travel throughout Missouri quite a bit for work and rarely ever meet anyone claiming to be a Mizzou fan outside of the immediate Columbia area.
Seems to be:
1. Cardinals
2. Chiefs (at least lately)
3. Royals
4. Blues
5. Mizzou
Used to be quite a bit of Rams fans, I guess they all jumped on the Chiefs bandwagon.
Didn't see much Chiefs gear in the Trent Green-Damon Huard days.

I honestly can't think of a worst part of the state. I agreed to work a short distance from that area for student loan reimbursement and sent the money back so I could leave.

If I was a younger guy wanting a nice bar scene I’d agree, but I’m not that guy anymore. I wanted a place where I could get a lot of land without neighbors. I wanted to be able to hunt on my own property. I wanted a place somewhat off the grid, I got that. Add to that, on my property I have a furnished apartment above one of my workshops I rent out on AirBnB and that pays my mortgage 9 months out of the year. That means people literally pay me to experience my part of Missouri, I’m doing alright

Dawg. We're agreeing. You're living the dream and it's all good...MO is a great place to escape and live with freedom

Sounds like you're doing good. I'm happy for you that you enjoy where you're living. It just wasn't for me. Hope you keep doing well though.
