Yes, in a sense.

I don’t think suck is the correct word. Just very average. Florida is the best of the bunch.

I see the Kentucky/Mizzou game as a pick 'em even though it's in Columbia.

I just discovered an interesting stat that surprised me. I have been saying the UK defense is good against the run, but they are actually even better against the pass.

team defense pass efficiency

1 Cincinnati (AAC) 5 5-0 169 83 4 794 3 89.70
2 Kentucky (SEC) 5 5-0 172 87 6 887 3 92.68
3 Alabama (SEC) 5 5-0 176 83 9 954 6 93.71

why is it always Missouri posters? So far your best accomplishment is beating 2-3 Purdue. If you want to remain consistent I look forward to your Missouri sucks thread when we beat you again this year

Yes, if you beat us it means we suck.

Welcome to how Mizzou was treated in 2013 and 2014. I hope you guys make every team (except us) suck this year. It’s the lot of a non top-tier program.

I know you're not, nor am I discounting Kentucky either, I think I've made that pretty clear. I do find it a bit humorous though how much the Rant has jumped on the Kentucky bandwagon. There is still a lot of football to be played and going through a SEC schedule, teams can slip up along the way. I honestly see Kentucky with a 8 to 9 win season, and that's pretty damn good, all things considered.

that's some major PTSD. I even included you guys in the teams that could beat us mid season.

Kentucky has played three teams with no offense. You are 3-0 and deserve your ranking. If you beat good teams you will move up. 5 games in so don’t worry.

Kentucky is one dimensional. Great teams aren't ranked 111th in passing offense. You can't play teams with great DLines and expect to win if you cant throw the ball.

Lucky for Kentucky their schedule only faces about 3 real offenses.

No one has made them throw it yet.

You’re in the SEC now, not the Big 12.

Auburn in 2004 going 13-0 rings a bell

That years SEC CCG was the beginning of the end for the fat man and the Vols

Big difference in fan perception. Tigers entered the SEC and talked all kinds of game but managed to miss the power teams at the time (Alabama, Auburn, and LSU) while getting the Hogs as their cross at a low point for the folks in Fayettenam. Time has marched on and the Tigers have still not grasped the brass ring in either a SEC CCG win or a MNC win.

UK football fans are unlike their basketball counterpart. They have lived lives of quiet desperation yet still kept the faith. Even now when winning, most are still humble and waiting for the balloon to pop. Pretty stark contrast to Mizziou which makes them easier to root for. Mizzou has meth while Cats have more booze and weed so visitors enjoy sharing. Dope brownies and EKY spring water just work better at tailgates than meth and poop brownies.

When you are not used to being ranked because you've basically stunk up most stadiums you've played in the past decade, then this is no surprise.

Worrying about the ranking is a fan thing, and is likely the farthest thing from any UK players minds.

Anyone can beat another team on any given day. It's why the game isn't played on message boards. It's highly unlikely we escape the next several games unscathed, but if we are so fortunate as to make it to GA undefeated, then I won't complain.

I'm just enjoying the ride, the fact people are taking notice of a good team and season, and the respect this team has earned thus far. If we lose, it certainly doesn't tarnish that sentiment, it just means the better team won THAT DAY.

More like the Georgia game. Early TV slot and the Cats will not be awake yet.

Why does Mizzou get the 11 am slot against good teams?
