It's a shite storm of an embarrassment for the University.

With the success in recruiting, it all comes down to coaching and their schemes. Period. There IS enough talent to be more competitive that they are showing.

Stoops and the DC need to go immediately. Like now. Let the OC take over as interim and someone up to DC. Hell we are just going through the motions anyway.

UK could do alot worse than firing Stoops and hiring Miles after LSU runs him off. UK not being successful some of the time in football is a great mystery to me

You had the best coach in both sports and you ran one off by ignoring him so I have little sympathy for UK football. What's wrong with wanting to be good in both? I so hope Johnson can turn our basketball around.

If only you were right, but you are not.

A) Bear was at UK almost a decade and never beat Tennessee once (Imagine not beating Auburn in a decade)
B) Bear had 3 good years in the middle with not so good years before and after
C) Bear and Rupp remained friends long after Bear left UK
D) The car and lighter story was more recruiting trick than reality (Bear would pull out the lighter to a potential recruit and embellish the story to get the recruit to Alabama) and was taken out of context by a reporter and embellished till years later it was accepted as fact, when the "facts" were not exactly true.

I think for UK to make a statement in football, it's going to have to lure in a big name coach and just throw money at him.

That is the plan every fan has for their team. Easier said than done.
