Does SC need to step up? Pretty sure we have been doing this for a long while now
Y'all aren't doing it annually now.

I can understand being upset about that schedule, when you can't even beat us
Actually I'm not upset about the schedule at all when we have actually won multiple NCs playing that schedule, you can't say the same even playing a weaker schedule, so I can understand why your bleeding gash is crying about having to play a tougher schedule...
and yes congrats on beating us in CEO's downfall years, but the overall record of LSU vs KY speaks for its self when it comes to LSU beating KY...

Basically the Kentucky, MSU, and Vandys of the SEC want to keep their extra rent a win so they can keep fans happy with a 7-5 or 8-4 record without needing to win a majority of their SEC games.
Big Boy football must be scary.

This is what I was telling you folks months ago after I spoke with an employee of the SEC who is there every day.
NOBODY has agreed on a scheduling format. Dellenger reported reported like one of 8 different scenarios that are on the table and ran with that one. As this person told me "nobody is on the same page and we haven't been since the expansion"
NOT ALL want a nine game schedule. Several Presidents and AD's want to stay at 8 games. There are also presidents and AD's that WANT TO KEEP divisions. Not pods but 8 team divisions.
It's also not just UK, Vandy and MSU that want to keep some things the way they are. I was told "we may be further away from scheduling, perm opponents and rotation than we were a year ago" and that Destin was going to be "very tense"
Which makes sense because of all of the complexity involved.
And the contentious disagreement between fans is probably a reflection of the amount of disagreement between the vested interests of different programs.

FWIW I still don't see a better solution than the regional pods with a fixed out of division opponent to keep traditional rivals.
NW: Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas
SW: LSU, A&M, OM, MSU
SE: Florida, Georgia, Auburn, USC
NE: Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt
Just do a home/away with each pod and rotate to the next pod. You can cycle through a home & away in six years in an organized fashion. The problem with everyone having a different three permanent opponents and no divisions is I've yet to see a mapped out rotation. It gets incredibly complicated.
Three of the permanent opponents I'd suggest would be something like:
Alabama: Auburn
Florida: LSU
Texas: A&M

NE: Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Vanderbilt
