He definitely eludes to his belief that Derek Dooley can help him get to the NFL. National media may not have been a fan of the surprise move but he's clearly making an impact even beyond his skills as a QB for this upcoming year.

Read two articles that listed top 15 or so QB prospects for next year and he wasn’t mentioned, but I guess you never know.

Saw him pass this weekend vs Air at the Manning Passing Academy. Not too impressed with his accuracy.

He'll get a really good chance on national TV to showcase his skills to the country during their bowl game.

He could be in the NFL...as a Terrell Pryor type player... he cant throw it 15 yards downfield.

Glad we passed on him. He's a poor man's Matt Jones.

His lack of downfield passing is why he was beat out. Once teams realize this, the offense is relegated to a horizontal game. (See Clem/Bama game 17). You guys will see it as we saw it soon enough. Great kid, though a little insecure.

I only ever watched him in the game vs Alabama year before last and he reminded me of Jalen Hurts in Hurts' first year. Poor passer. Hurts improved significantly, and I think it was largely due to Dan Enos. I'm not sure who is Missouri's qb coach, but perhaps Kelly can improve likewise. Will be interesting to watch.

A couple of things: I'm not going to disagree with your premise but that was 2 yrs ago and I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's improved a little. No he's not Lock but all he has to do is be serviceable in the downfield passing to keep defenses honest.

You? Passed on him? Don't kid yourself, he passed on you... Your opinion on him might change after he runs a clinic on you this fall

Jesus. it was bound to happen eventually. Someone hit the defibrillator on Missouri's dead arse sports program. Here they all come again...

I do think that his situation at Missouri provides him with unique opportunity to continue what little momentum the Tigers currently have going.

I just thought he made bad reads in the passing and run game. His athleticism bailed him out a lot though. Towards the end of the year he was the starter I think he bought into his own hype a little too much, with all the "Kelly being Kelly" stuff when they asked him about being compared to Deshaun. But I hope he balls out this year

Wishing Kelly success at Missouri, but the best former Clemson QB is former five star Hunter Johnson who transferred to Northwestern when Lawrence arrived. Dabo started Bryant over Johnson in 2107 and it ended up biting him in the arse.

Many players have eluded the NFL under Dooley. Many of his former players alluded to this fact.

I think this was a great move for both Mizzou and Bryant--with the fan support and the right coaching (i.e., Lock), he will surprise all that doubted him. I hope he has a stand-out, stellar season. This move was a great example of the transfer portal's benefit to both players and teams.
