It must suck to be a hog fan, Malzahn grew up in Fayettville and they let him get away lol. Now there stuck with a coach in over his head.

I absolutely hate Awburn but I've always like Gus and Arkansas will regret the day they didn't make him their head coach, when they had so many opportunities to do so.

Arkansas fans have nothing to do with the hiring. Jeff "Integrity" Long does the hiring. He regrets nothing and gets an automatic 100k raise each year for doing so.

He's the type of guy that could sell you a shite sandwich and make you like it so much that you decide to give him your bank account.

Whoever can pull that off and make people love him for it has to be a genius.

About 80% of the barn fanbase didn't even want him before he got the job.

OMG, are you serious?
First of all, all but true Sophomores on Auburn's team this year were recruited while Gus was the O.C. at Auburn.
This isn't a situation like Chizik or Miles inherited a team loaded with talent from a completely different staff. Gus was on the staff for 3 years and gone for 1 year. He played a major role in the recruitment of most of the team.

Second, if you are going to use the "he has done well with other coaches' players" argument, are you not saying that he is taking the exact same players that the previous coach went 3-9 (0-8) with last year and coaching them up to 10-1 (6-1) this year, thereby arguing that, in fact, he is doing a great job as a coach???

OMG, are you 12? Gus hasn't been at a position at the College level long enough to gauge if he can sustain success. Being the head man is different than an assistant. He had two 8 win seasons with a 14-0. We all know who gets credit for that. The main question is how long will Barner fans support Gus when Bama bests them every year?
