I love Sark, no doubt. His 2020 Bama team had D. Smith, Metchie, and Waddle plus Najee Harris and a great O line. The offense looked to me like the football equivalent of "hit 'em where they ain't". He was masterful at getting the defense to overload somewhere and then go somewhere else. But let's face it, no one was going to cover those receivers plus Najee out of the backfield. It wasn't what I'd call gimmicky, but that was a very special team talent wise.
Sark had so much talent and so many mismatches on the field it was impossible to slow it down. He also played a lot of 12 personnel and created a ton of mismatches with constant presnap motion. Meaning we were running the ball downhill as easily as we were hitting in the passing game. Mac Jones was a full-read QB and he got the ball out on time. In the red zone, we were manhandling people. To appreciate how balanced we were, not only did DeVonte Smith win the Heisman but Najee Harris won the Doak Walker award as best running back.
Going to the shorthorns and trying to duplicate that success to that degree would be impossible.

Nothing to add to this thread other than to say it's nice to see an actual football discussion without trolling, well done

Why?
Texas last year was about 13 yards from going to the national title game. Jonathon Brooks, who will be the first RB drafted, would likely have won the Doak Walker award if he had not been injured.

Was going to say the same thing. Entertained with no trolling and name calling. Imagine!

If he does, good for Sark. I'm saying that Sark hasn't forgotten what he ran at BAMA. He is running his schemes to his talent level.
