Dead period between championship week and bowls, plus ESPN needs to drum up interest in order to sell ads during the ceremony and keep the talking heads talking in their college football segments this week.
It's obviously worked since they got you talking about it. Now if you would only watch the ceremony...mission accomplished.

It's the same people who refused to acknowledge that Cooper was one of the best players in the conference going into last season. And then jumped all over Kevin White's dick as soon as he ran a slightly faster 40.
