Maybe they can hire Dubose at the end of the year.

I'm calling it now. OM will beat Kentucky, La Tech, Miss St and either Auburn or Arkansas and everyone will be back on the bus. That's how Nutt works. Has a big run right when things get bad to make you forget about it and get back on the bandwagon.

They won't beat anyone they're not supposed to. He doesn't have a player he can ride to an upset like he did at Arkansas.

I'm hoping for the bolded part - the combination of angst and schadenfreude on the rant is downright delicious when that happens

Not quite as fun as the ghost town it becomes when Arkansas beats LSU.

nonsense - I talk the same way about other teams as I do my own... sometimes positively and sometimes more negatively than is true (esp when an easy opening presents itself)

don't be so sensitive

It's awful. But this is when you find out who the true fans are.

An arky loss results in a full meltdown and a liberal application of bannings by the admins (and/or shutdown of the whole tiger rant)

sometimes I wish our fans just tucked tail and hid... would be less destructive than the way they over-react after a loss

and there is a certain level of humor in the way LSU fans go full retard after a loss - not unlike the general level of arky obsession with Nutt or the complete loss of rational thought they experience after losing to him

Not sure why anyone would get banned after losing to OM but then again I wasn't a member here the last time we lost to them. Either way, there isn't the same attitude between the two schools as there was the first two seasons so I doubt it would be a full meltdown like it perhaps was then.

They did after our game last year. Sure the TR was in full meltdown but this place was a ghost town from all the rantards that appeared the week of the game to talk shite.

I've noticed LSU fans will turn on Miles over a particularly devastating loss.

if it wasn't clear I was referring to the LSU fans reacting on the Tiger Rant after something like a LSU loss to Ole Miss or LSU loss to Arky... hell even after losing to a premiere opponent like a Florida or Alabama you will see at least a partial meltdown from portions of our fanbase

You know the rules on the SEC Rant - the random arse poster from some SEC team who appears a week or two before the game to post is going to disappear. Just like most of the new Arky posters abandoned ship after the Alabama game (leaving mostly the regulars)

Ah I see what you mean now. I was wondering why you were saying the TR would get shut down because of an Arkansas loss to OM. My bad.

I do agree with what you are saying now.

You are probably being too kind - Miles' popularity prior to the last couple months (and certainly after 2008 and 2009) was highly in question and hotly debated at LSU

There was a major group of vocal and highly critical fans - but I think 2010 was his rebound year IMO. Up until that point the doubters were arguing the team was on a downward trajectory... but upon further review LSU 2011 appears to be > LSU 2010 >LSU 2009 > LSU 2008

So now I think there are more and more LSU fans who will melt down in other ways instead of just focusing on Miles

And I've never heard any Rebel hatred towards the Tide. Though I admit, when they beat us in 2009 it was the most deflated I think I've ever been from a game. Not because we lost, which I was expecting, but because of how we lost. Saban came in and faked a punt early in the game. Showed he didn't respect us. But then they calmly swallowed us up like a glorified scrimmage to prove that they didn't need to respect us.

I'm hoping all this expansion will lead to a more favorable conference schedule in which we can focus in on just one powerhouse SECw team and our once-a-decade chance at Atlanta will get a little better.

Think about it.

They have the worst program in the SEC

Their most hated opponent is #1 in the country

Their 2nd most hated opponent is #2 in the country

Their in state rival has their number and will likely be back in a bowl game this year.

You left out "Lost to Vanderbilt for the 5th time in 7 years..."
