I'm always happy to read fans from other schools say good things about Fayetteville and our campus.
Right now, the campus is in the middle of its biggest construction boom ever, so come back when the dust settles. Its all torn up. Old Main lawn doesn't usually have a construction road through it or chain link around it.

Glad you enjoyed Fayetteville Duckie. Come back for the next LSU game in Fayetteville in 2 years.

glad you enjoyed your visit. Speaking of cold, we play most of our early season baseball games in that weather, now you see why we always bitch about our attendance during that time

Sorry I didn't post earlier but Ive been sick as a dog since standing in that stadium friday night. that wind was BRUTAL.
it was packed in the beginning and i was impressed. by halftime the ENTIRE endzones seats were gone. for a reason, that wind was relentlessly cold. Dickson street was fantastic. great mix of food and drinks. campus was beautiful. but the greatest thing about the whole trip was the awesome fans. Little Rock has the worst fans known to fandom but the fayetteville crowd was crazy nice. my only bad thing to say is there were ZERO cabs at the airport. best road trip ever and will be back there in two years. good job hawgs

I can't believe you would actually admit to doing this on a message board. Wow!! That is child abuse. You should be locked up. If I was the kid's father, I would beat the living shite out of you.
Aaaaaaaand this post is why you're well liked on Hogville. I want to believe you are just joking, but I'm pretty sure you're not.
Hey some things just aren't a good fit, no matter how hard you try.

My friend and I made the drive up from BR. That's a long arse drive. We stayed 1 hr south of campus Thursday night, got to campus at 9 AM expecting to have to fight traffic and parking but that early campus was pretty dead (even with an early kickoff. We ran into Tim Brando pregame (he ignored us). I was under whelmed with the stadium (what's up with temporary seating in the nosebleed of the endone). Cold arse game. I think I spent more time at the heater in the bathroom than my seat. Longest non OT game I've ever attended.
Dickson street was very cool. Had a blast at smoke & barrel.
Did some hiking at devils den on Saturday.
Long arse drive home Sunday from LR.

Thanks for the post and the kind words. We tailgate on the North side of "The Gardens" I had heard some really bad things about LSU fans so I wasn't sure what to expect, We also invite all the visiting fans who walk by our tailgate to join us...The LSU fans were the best besides maybe Rutgers Fans. We had a corndog baited on a fishing pole and got several of the fans to pose for pictures..It was all in great fun and I have some AWESOME PICTURES...I must say the LSU fans were really great...

The end zone chair-backs have access to an indoor club area with food and couches, etc. Those people didn't leave. They were just inside getting warm.

I don't understand the comment about the stadium being loud. That was the quietest SEC stadium I've ever been in and I've been to Tennessee and Ole Miss twice. Even on third and long for LSU late in the game when the crowd was at it's loudest, I could still talk to the person next to me without raising my voice. I know there were a lot of empty seats due to the bad season and the holiday, but that was pathetic.

another bad note....i rarely saw any girls. it was 140-1 dude to girl ratio. i had lost my voice by halftime so i couldn't talk to any anyway
i didn't see any tailgating but i was told i was on the wrong side of the stadium.
funny thing is, the two worst fans were both uga fans visiting their hometown there.
taxi cabs were also excellent. i would recommend green cab if anyone needs one.
seriously one of the best away games period. what a hidden gem
