The only awful years I've lived through were 05, 08, and 10-13.
I'll take 4 out of 30. shite, 4 out of 20 since I started really watching football at about 10 years old.

It's been bad. Could have been worse. But now we're out of it finally.
And it'll happen to your team. It happens to every program.
UT's just came more recently then the others.

Well, I realized later that it was less an Alabama thing and more a Peyton thing. He just... led the band. That was his thing.
I stopped hating him quite so much after I realized that. No hard feelings now. But at the time, that one really stuck in my craw.

We always catch shite from rival fans about Peyton lack of success against Florida but they're so ignorant they don't realize why he was idolized to begin with.

I agree.
But we got over some smaller streaks this year like UGA and Missouri (although the 12 Vols would have beat that awful Missouri team)...
And we have an identity now. Something that's been lacking and I think that was the final key to the turnaround.
Teams have to have an identity and UT found that this year now they have to go out in 16 and really apply it.
