Imagine if they had paired up in college, sounds unstoppable...

Dude is sucking him off trying to get him to stay. Can't beleive the kid honestly thinks he'd be in the Heisman trophy hunt in that offense breaking in a new QB.

to be fair the new qb throws downfield alot more than Mccelroy is it might help his stats.

I think Shanahan is desperate to try and find his Elway.
I think WR and OG are bigger needs ATM, but you don't take a OG where they are drafting.
They'll get a QB either by FA or later in the draft IMO...

That is if AJ starts...

They wont throw it anymore down the field than they do now. They are a team who like the play action and run the ball. If they could, they would throw the ball 15-20 times every game.

I'm sure he goes. He can make plenty of money under performing in the NFL.

agreed.

FA is pretty empty.
Orton leads the list.
Mcnabb, Matt Moore, Matt Hasselbeck (who may resign), and then you get to guys like Alex Smith.

I guess if he likes someone later in the draft. Who do you think he might look at in the 2nd?

why wouldn't he? I assume his competition is Sims?

I agree but what I'm saying is Mccelroy checks down quite a bit, throws to TE's, RB's, etc...
With the new guy he may look downfield more. So despite not throwing alot when they DO throw he will be looking downfield more.

Whoa now, it's not like he's coming from LSU or anything...

just don't pick an LSU d.linemen in the top 10 and you'll be fine.

I'm counting on Palmer, he's done in Cinci.

Unless they get one for McNabb, they won't have one I believe...

true but I think he may go to SF.

they're not getting one for Mcnabb so I guess I should rephrase. Who do you think they'd want for their next draft pick or if they trade up.

Depends on who they hire. Other than the location, the situation isn't much better.

Actually, they might have a 2nd Rounder, I can't seem to find a clear answer though.
I think a Devlin or Ponder might be in his sights...

If Julio knew he wouldn't fall past the Patriots first pick(the one from Oakland) do y'all think he would stay.

the surrounding talent is much much better imho.
Plus I think Palmer would love the location as would the fans.

it's definitely possible. I'll be interested to see who they are rumored to like/ have worked out/ have interviewed.

I think he will fall past there.

I think Crabtree as the #1 WR is the only real advantage, who's at RB is really irrelevant under Shanahan.

There will probably be a smoke screen put up, throwing everyone off who they really want...
