Which melt thread is the best one on the Auburn board? I like a little laughter before bed.

Haven't been on there. That being said, sucks for production this year, but props to Gus for putting the team above the players. That's what got Chizik fired.

Better a couple of years than a lifetime of the program, eh?

Agreed. Good for Gus on this one. He could have been sleazy like Mullen and turned the other way but he put the team first. I have to commend him on that one.

Xavier Dampeer. That was the one that did him in (rightfully so). Duke was a cancer. Maybe Jovon caught it too.

Fighting teammates is the one you can't overlook. Gus really had no choice there. You can keep druggies and criminals and unholy mimes and hope for the best. You can't keep someone who is literally fighting with the team without everything going to hell. Jovon's fate would have been sealed anywhere.

Is this what the Malzahn era will be best remembered for?

Kicking the best player off the team the first week of fall practice seems to be a pattern.

What had Dyer done before arriving in Auburn? Keep in mind most non-Arky posters here don't keep up with Arkansas high school football gossip.

Please lets not act like Malzahn is some sort of ambassador of moral integrity. This is the man that recruited Michael Dyer by showing up in limosines to high school football games and ended up coaching the dude at two different schools despite felony drug and weapons charges.

Auburn fans are delusional if they think this had anything to do with Malzahn's "integrity". He has none.

Mike Dyer won an SEC Championship and a BCS National Championship.

What has Arkansas done?

I can make shite up too! He was stopped for speeding and they found marijuana.
Not only are the Arkansas fans obsessed with Gus but also for a football player who spurned them 7 years ago (and went on to win the NC MVP).

They've spent 10+ years inventing stories about anybody who is lucky enough to get out of that godforsaken state.
