Pate is a click machine.
People just get faked out by his delivery.

Josh is a big fan of the Aggies, Elko, A&M head coaching position, and just generally speaking thinks A&M will be a national champion in the next few years. All of his enthusiasm is of course based on zero evidence.
Why do teams historically win? Great talent and coaching, and these days lots of NIL. Josh ain't wrong.

Josh Pate loves Billy Liucci because they are both masters at churning content. It’s not easy, Liucci is so underrated the way he keeps the A&M fan base on a dog leash. Hilarious to watch a couple of the less mouth breathing ags catch on to his grift and then he jerks the chain and cuts their heads off.
Pate works his arse of to engage all of the biggest cfb programs. I can tell he hates UT but he says the sweetest things about us so often.

Great. That doesn't mean I agree with a lot of his takes either. Sometimes for the reasons you just mentioned. But I happen to agree with the TAMU assessment for the reasons I just mentioned.

I didn’t see your assessment. Pate likes A&M because he has several friends who happen to be Aggies and they always show him a good time in CS, and he feels A&M is a good cultural fit for the SEC. I’m a Texas grad and for the most part I agree with him because I have a lot of A&M friends and I think their move to the SEC was the best thing they have ever done.
Pate is unaware/intentionally oblivious to what makes A&M the butt of so many jokes. No reason to go there when he’s in the click business and A&M is a super clicky fan base

This board is obsessed with Texas A&M.
“obsessed” is what you choose to call it?

This might make it onto the Top 10 worst posts ever list on tRant.
Good grief.

One of the main sources for my theory: The proliferation of the term "aggy"
That word goes back decades on sip message boards.
It was barely, if ever used outside of those echo chambers and now it's a household term on the Rant.
The lemmings are an easily swayed bunch eh
I don't know about all that, but they literally have a place in Manhattan near K-State called aggieville. It's basically where the majority of people go to hang out with a bunch of clubs common near a college campus.
And it's been called that for at least 3 decades that I know of. I didn't even know it was supposed to be an insult until you started crying.

The topic/question is if Josh Pate lets his sponsors motivate what he tells his audience

Wrong. The team that spends what you spend on athletics should get some results…and you don’t.

I find that Pate sunshine pumps for most teams, to maintain his click rate IMO. I don’t think it gets to where you question his integrity. I think he just find something positive to say about most team but he will tell the truth also if there are question mark on a team.
But where you get his true real opinion is when he is talking about college football in general.
