People wanted to know if he was going to play, since there’s been a trend of high NFL draft picks sitting out in recent years.

I guess I'm just not accustomed to this logic with my favorite team. We've never had anybody decide to sit out a post season game based on draft stock.

Seems like a normal thing to me.

It's like the Chris Rock bit about people doing what you are supposed to do...

"I take CARE of my kids!"

"You're supposed to, you dumb motherfricker!"

"I ain't NEVER been to jail"

"You're not SUPPOSED to go to jail, do you want a cookie?"

Tired tired tired tired.

Also what recruiting rank was Josh Allen coming out anyone? How in the hell does Kentucky get freaks like that?

TBH? Being in the right place at the right time, aka freak luck.

Allen was a decent, not great, small school WR in Alabama who almost quit football a few times. Moved to New Jersey his senior year, switched to defensive end and the lights started coming on. With the move and position change he was overlooked, 2 star rating on Rivals. Rutgers, just down the road from his HS wouldn't even look at him, even after his coach begged them to (has coached several kids who ended up in the NFL.).

So Allen ends up committing to Monmouth (FCS). Right before signing day Kentucky has a recruit decommit and a slot to fill. The brother of one of the UK quality control coaches is a NJ high school coach who knows Josh Allen's coach and says you should look at this kid. UK flies Allen in for a visit and flips him from Monmouth.

Of course he was also raw and undersized when he arrived on campus, but has gotten bigger and improved his technique every season.
