UF will have a 3-4 loss season in 2010. They have a lot of good players under the recruiting recently but the inexperience at many positions will hurt them. Especially QB.
Plus, @ Alabama rotates on the schedule and the OOC is tougher with South Florida along with the usual Florida State.

I'm sure you've got great backups...but your statements are absurd.
i was typing something but then i lost power and lost it so for short.. Marsh and Sanders aren't even going to be SRs I just realized although I still believe we will have different names starting at DT next season
and for the LBs.. Doe and Jones have been average at best and don't even start every game they rotated around with Stamper and Hicks. I know Doe may not even be with UF next year he's suspended for now. It will suck losing Stamper and Spikes but we will have Hicks as a starter and Edwards, McCray, Bostic, Jelani Jenkins and possibly Luc competing for the other 2 spots.. I don't think it's absurd to say those 2 players will be better than Doe and Jones.

Not talking about actual head to head, just in the SEC in general and i'm only talking to people who say "once Tebow is gone UF will lose 3-4 games every year"

LSU/UF has been one of the best rivalries this decade and im looking forward to another primetime national tv game

I agree, I can't wait for that game I have family in Baton Rouge I could of stayed with but I missed the deadline for the LSU game ticket

Brantley will be good, but I would not put him that high on the list without ever seeing him play a full game. And to say that he would be one of the very best right now would be a very gumpish thing to say.
My main concern for him is the amount of players that could leave early next year. He has been very patient and probably could have started for a lot of good teams already. I will feel very bad for him if a ton of guys leave early for his first year as a starter.

Florida will be a 3/4 loss team w/o Tebow.
A lot of wishin' and hopin' in this post. JB is a damn good QB.
Plus people forget that the defense will still be ridiculous in 08. Justin Trattou will be back and he splits time with Dunlap and has a ton of experience. Willie Green will take over for Cunningham at the other end. Sanders and Marsh will both be back so that's 3 of 4 on the DL. Spikes is gone, but Jones, Hicks, and Lorenzo Edwards not to mention another 2-3 guys you will hear from this year. So that's 2 of 3 LBer starters back (Hicks started for Doe a lot of this past season). If Haden stays the entire secondary returns. I think the defense will be fine.

Gotcha. I'm sure Florida will do just fine after Tebow leaves; and I'm pulling for them to remain a powerhouse. When we win, it makes the victory all the sweeter.

People here fail to read and understand our depth chart. They tend to believe that losing Spikes and Tebow equates to becoming an also-ran in the SEC, when really they are simply engaging in wishful thinking while throwing spaghetti at the wall in the hope that it will stick.
The truth of the matter is UF is loaded right now. The defense that returns in 2010 will be filthy. Our entire defensive front will consist of juniors and seniors with heavy experience. The linebackers will be guys like Jelani Jenkins, Jon Bostic, Brendan Beal, and Jeff Luc (currently a UF silent). The defensive backs will be Ahmad Black, Will Hill, Major Wright, Janoris Jenkins, and Jeremy Brown.
UF isn't going anywhere.

No one is saying UF is going anywhere. People are only saying that 2010 is not going to be an NC year, maybe not even an SECCG game year. Jesus, you UF fans are acting insulted when people are claiming UF "may" go 10-2 in 2010. Good Christ, the sky must be falling? You mean it's conceivable the mighty UF MAY actually lose a couple of games in 2010 when they've lost their heart and soul and the best QB in decades, as well as key other seniors and juniors who may declare for the draft?
I don't give a flying frick what the depth chart looks like. We said the same bullshite after winning the NC in 2007. Of course we also had two doofuses running our D and true freshman playing QB, neither of which UF will have in 2010.
I think SOME of the UF fans on this board need to eat some humble pie- when people are insinuating a down year will consist of 10-2 or maybe 9-3 at worst, take it. Most of you would have handed your nuts over to hear that during the Zook era.

+1 We were loaded in 06 until we lost a ton of people. And you can't count on performance of players that haven't started yet, no matter how many stars they were or how much hype they got.
Nothings a gimme. I believe we should be pretty damn good the next few years even with losses. However, I'm not a psychic either.

Exactly. I think UF may contend again for a NC in 2011. Either way, UF should always be in the hunt for the SEC East crown. But winning NC and even SEC titles are difficult things to do. Which is why IF UF ( and I see no reason they wouldn't) wins the SEC again this year it's an amazing feat.
I see UF, LSU, Bama, and UGA all being the top 4 teams in the conference for a few years to come for the most part.

The biggest thing for UF in 2010 is if the Pouncey's leave early. If not the entire OL will return while losing Tebow, Cooper, Moore, Nelson and probably Hernandez on O. WR and RB should be a strength in 2010. James Wilson and Sam Robey would likely replace the Pouncey's.
