I think people appreciated having a fundamentally sound basketball team that looks set to be competitive for a number of years rather than a coach who didn't seem to preach fundamentals at all. Brady brought a lot of talent to LSU, but he just wasn't a very good coach. He should have been more consistent considering the talent he brought in. Also, he was an a-hole for the most part.
