I've been all over and heard a lot of sports talk radio, but John and Barry out of Montgomery do the best job. John is a Bama fan and Barry is an Auburn fan (and the play-by-play guy for Troy). I am neither, obviously, but they do a really good job of presenting both sides and basically, being pretty fair. They give lots of respect to the opponents as well.

They had Gordy Rush on this morning and always have good interviews with people from the Bama/Auburn camps. If you want to hear a different perspective that won't make you absolutely crazy, this is a good choice, in my opinion.

I'm in B'ham this week and really enjoying the B'ham sports radio as well. Smart football guys, high-class discussions. Respect for the opponent. Good grammar. College football is #1.

Def not the sports radio in Ga and La.

You must be listening to eli and stan in the mornings and turning your radio off in the afternoons.

Well, Finebaum in the afternoon is a disaster except for the interviews - and he has really good ones. But, this show from 7-10am is a good one and you can listen online, I think. It's on now.

Meh. They're decent. The problem is that John Longshore (the Bama guy) is abrasive and a bit annoying. The good thing about him is he is far from a homer and let's Barry say the most ridiculous things without calling him on it.

Barry does a nice job doing play by play for Troy. He's a condescending jerk most of the time on that radio show though. He perfectly illustrates the holier than thou mindset a lot of Auburn people have towards Alabama people. Alabama fans get enough abuse on this site without listening to Barry ramble on about evil Bammers picking on poor innocent salt of the earth Auburn people.

As an LSU fan that couldn't care less about either Alabama or Auburn, this couldn't be more wrong. You must be one of those Bama fans that only like for people to say how great Bama is ALL the time.

It is a good show. They are objective. John's thing is that he is the "sandpaper" and Barry is the "silk." It works well together and they do a good job.

It should be on the list of every SEC fan's go-to resources when wanting to know more about what is happening in the SEC.

He's not "one of those bama fans" he is how their whole fanbase is. They expect everyone in the media to cup their balls.

It has to be the complete opposite, then, of The MAX Roundtable with Doug Amos & Josh Moon @12:00.

He does a great job. He also stepped in and called the UAB game a couple weeks when their main guy had either a death/illness in the family.
