Hurts is more efficient and saves broken plays. I’d take him over either and he hasn’t even really played past half time so far.

Hurts is good at those little dink passes, especially in the no defense conference you guys are in, but if you make it to the playoffs, vs a bona fide defense, you'll see why Hurts couldn't compete with Tua.

There is one perfect game to measure both of those guys when they were healthy (Tua was playing on 2 injuries last SEC title game vs UGA).

In the first half of the January 2018 national title game vs UGA, Jalen was 3 of 8 for 21 yards and 0 points, with a 19.9 qb rating.

In the 2nd half Tua was 14 of 24 for 166 yards, a 70.7 qb rating, and produced 26 points to win a national title for Alabama.

Texas finished last season at #126 of 130 teams in pass defense.

Feels so good knowing that Broadway Joe IS the greatest college football has to offer. The upvotes/downvotes prove everyone else knows it too

you should certainly enjoy it while you can, in spite of the fact it comes against teams like Texas, #126 of 130 teams in pass defense last year. When you play even a decent defense, Alabama for an example, Tua will show what sort of average qb Burrow actually is, like Henry showed up Fournette so badly a few years ago.

Yes. As noted, last season Texas was #126 of 130 teams in pass defense. So far this year they are #118

Because Joe Burrow destroyed their stats. How is this hard to understand?

LSU played Texas last season, when they were #126 of 130 teams in pass defense? What you have here is a trend that suggesst they aren't good at defending the pass. In fact, they are among the worst teams in the nation.

And LSU had an awful offense last year. Your trend is bs.

You and I and everybody know the major difference and that’s his coach, Lincoln Riley. Jalen is twice the passer he ever was at Bama. He doesn’t even throw dink and dunk passes at OU lol. Have you even watched the games? Also the big 12 has better defenses than the sec currently. Check the stats...

Riley is certainly a good qb coach. If Tua Tagovailoa played for him he'd set records that may never be broken.

Yes. I have seen some of your games. I bet most of Hurts' pass completions have been within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage.

And your contention that Big 12 defenses are better than the SEC undermines your entire thread. gooney goo goo

And I'm not starting threads proclaiming Tua the best qb in the nation, though the cold hard facts are that last year, playing half the season on a gimpy leg, he set the all time NCAA Passing Efficiency record. That's all time as in ever, and that's not some lame arse poster on a message board making shite up, thems cold hard facts.

Beeeecause Tuna don’t have the statistics to back that up. Joey Burrell does.

What part of all time single season ncaa passing efficiency leader do you not understand?

3 games in, playing shitty pass defenses like Texas don't count for all time single season ncaa leader category.
