The money to let Jimbo go is already in the bank. He could be sent down the road tomorrow if need be. A&M is just not ready to give up on him. There are plenty of fans who wish they would but the guys that make that decision are not quite ready to start over again yet.

Notre Dame, an occasional transplant, has been your toughest competition in the last 5 years. The ACC winner is not automatic to make it to the Playoff. And often doesn't.

The SEC is a completely different world.

They wouldn't pay his assistant coaches and their facilities were lagging behind Clemson and other top-notch programs. In short, FSU was/is cheap.

Now Jimbo has a state-of-the-art facility and he can go out and get someone like Bobby Petrino and Mike Elko in the past. TAMU is a lot of things but they aren't cheap.

Florida State gets a .783 winning percentage on the cheap.

Aggie pays a ton to get .650.

What part of the ACC/SEC SOS are you struggling with?

Harder schedule but also more resources yet Jimbo is out here losing to Appalachian State in his 5th year at A&M.

Also, you'd probably be shocked that Florida State had a better SOS than A&M last year.

FSU hasn't beaten Clemson in 8 years. FSU lost 3 ACC conference games in a row last season. Wake Forest, North Carolina State, and Clemson. They were really showing out.

Clemson can't get to the playoffs even when they have the ACC trophy in their pocket. So it's obvious that the Playoff Committee has a lot of respect for the ACC SOS. As we all should.

It is what it is.

It's kind of odd that Jimbo recruited better at Florida State, on average, despite all the advantages he has now.

Mike Norvell is no Jimbo Fisher. Jimbo was a top 5 recruiting team nationally at FSU. Norvell just came in at #20.

No doubt, despite being in a weaker conference, worse facilities, and less resources for hiring assistants.

Yet now that he has all of that, his recruiting hasn't been at the same level.

Jimbo owns a rottweiler right now. Don't kid yourself. We'll see what he does with it.

there is enough auto wins in the sec and the ooc schedule to qualify for a bowl game. A team has to be a tad better than avg., regardless of conference, to make it to a play-off game. At least at 4 teams, not so much when it goes to 12.

FSU is an academically superior university compared to A&M. They likely have higher standards for their student athletes. Being at A&M probably makes things easier for Jimbo.

Def not true but certainly better than Southern Mississippi. This thread will go for years because it involves the name Jimbo. There is NOTHING in Pthidewalk’s pathetic life that means more to him.

Re-evaluate your life.
Both of you I guess

I think this has very little to do with the FSU/A&M dick measuring contest. A coach can win at both schools.

It has a lot more to do with the fact that Jimbo has been on a steady decline since 2014 with only a couple of good flash in the pan seasons since.

A lot of Aggies took the “FSU didn’t give him the resources he needed” debacle as a excuse for tanking over there. Your “resources” don’t take you from 14-0 to 5-7 in 3 years. Sorry, that’s on you.

AND if you start digging into his final season at FSU, you’ll see some pretty glaring similarities to his 5-7 season last year at A&M. Really boils down to poor roster management, lack of preparedness for the worst case scenario and/or inability to adapt.

Undoubtedly his ex-wife going off the deep end took a toll as well, but the majority of the issues at FSU were related to the amount of power the person in charge of their association had.
