UPT, you are the goon..........no one said TOP TIER SPEED.......we said top end speed.......
Julio is not and never will be faster than Randy Moss....
Nor will he be more productive........
Julio is a physical WR but he isn't gonna out run everyone on the field.

He did say that he was limited with JPW. Said if he gave him too much he would throw an int. He had to limit his checks at the line. Said he don't have that problem with McElroy. He has a better football mind
I have no problem with Julio. I am sure he is going to turn into a fine WR, but McElroy better than JPW? The think that saved Bama last year was JPW's eperience. McElroy is a 3 star/ 4 at best.

Randy Moss at Marshall:
1996(FR.) 78 catches 1709 yds. 28 tds
1997 90 catches 1647 yds. 26 tds.
TOTAL: 168 catches 3356 yds. 54 tds.
For his career, that is @ 19.9 yds per catch and a td every third catch. Video game numbers.
As far as the competition arguement:
1998(NFL rookie) 69 catches 1313 yds. Set rookie record with 17 receiving tds.

No one on this board that I have seen has compared the two. Our OC did. Because good OC's talk up their players.
You would have to be an idiot to claim that Julio is as fast as Moss. No one ever did. I don't know where that came from.
Julio IS the best WR the SEC has seen in years and will be a great WR. I still have made no comparison.

Simmer down with that talk now. 900 yards and 4 TDs on the season with no TDs in the last 9 games doesn't make the best WR either. He might not be the best WR this season and he probably wasn't the best WR as a freshman as that would go the AJ Green of Georgia. I think AJ takes a step back with the QB issues in Georgia and it will be between Lafell and Jones for best WR this year.
Also watch out for Shay Hodge to have a big year.

Julio > Randy Moss + McElroy > JPW = Bama > Utah

Julio Jones is by far the best WR in the SEC. I believe he was the best freshman WR last year. Bama ran the ball most of the time and he had double coverage just about the entire year, and he still was bad as hell. No comparison.

I have not made any comparison to Randy Moss what so ever.
lets review:
he said
quote:
Seriously, Julio lacks the top end speed of Randy......he may be more physical than him at this point but he is no where near the threat that Randy Moss was.........NO WHERE NEAR.
your retarded arse then said in reply to that exact quote:
quote:
Julio runs a 4.4 40.
You don't know what you're talking about
You are a homer, a retard and you are not very good at this.

Sometimes being a Bama fan is really embarrassing, lets be honest now Randy Moss would have tore up andy division of football he played in college. Julio is going to be great but he is NO Randy Moss, Moss is the best pure receiver ive seen in my lifetime, once he got his head clear from all the distractions.

How you figure that? I don't believe he is "by far" the best in the SEC. Is he really good? Hell yes. Let's don't get carried away here though.

The team and competition does make a huge difference.
Julio would have put up much bigger numbers on that Marshall team than he did as a freshman at Bama.
Randy would have put up much smaller numbers against SEC defenses and having JPW throw him the ball. The JPW factor is huge for Julio's numbers.
Look at the difference between Moss at his stops:
2003 Minn - 111 receptions 1632 yards & 17 TDs
2005 Oak - 60 receptions for 1005 & 8 TDs
2006 Oak - 42 receptions for 553 yards & 3 TDs
2007 NE: 98 receptions for 1493 & 23 TDs
It's pretty obvious that regardless of how talented Moss is, Oakland did not use him to his full potential.
I think Bama's run heavy offense and having JPW did not utilize Julio to his potential.
Would Julio have had a better year playing for a Big 12 team or a gun slinging small conference team like University of Houston or Hawaii... probably.
Is Julio better than Randy Moss... that's just silly to be honest at this point. Moss holds NFL records and Julio has 1 year of college under his belt. Julio could become one of the all time greats based on potential. Randy Moss is already one of the greatest.

Maybe you're better at this than I gave you credit for.
Cute sig fagggot. I never said anywhere in my post that Julio was as fast as Randy Moss. No where. When captain asshat said that he didn' have "top end speed." I had to interject because, yes, he does. No one has still said that Julio is as fast as Moss and I sure as shite didn't. Nor did I ever even come close to saying anything about Julio being a "better deep threat." If it makes you feel better to make shite up out of nowhere then, you know... whatever. That's your thing. Don't label it as me though frickface.
So you claim that I said Julio is faster than Moss... WRONG
You also claim that I said Julio is a better deep threat than Moss... also WRONG
You're full of fail and you're a liar.
I take it back. You still suck at this.

Man....That is your offense. I don't get it. You get rid of a 5th year senior, and now have someone with no experience. Are you guys just gonna be slinging it all over the field now?

Julio will never be as good as Moss or someone like Owens because of their elite speed.
