Thank god we are loaded with talent so we can overcome this coaching disadvantage. He never had much talent at a school like Ark.

He had two 1,000 yard rushers, a Mackey award winning TE, one of the best OL in the SEC and a QB who this year is first in the SEC in QBR

Enos improved the offense leaps and bounds this year even without Jonathan Williams. Get used to halfback passes and double reverses inside the 10 yard line.

he is shotty 2.0 you dumbasses. you won the battle taking pittman but lost the war with chaney. I do not want Pittman if we had to keep chaney. chaney sucks and when your offense sucks this year I will be sure to bump this thread and remind you all.

So is this really about Chaney or about GA poaching a great OL coach?

Enos had to re teach our WR how to run routes because chaney is a fat sloppy person and his offense is just as sloppy. he can't develop a qb. you guys will be bad on offense next year. I expect kirby's tenure at georgia to resemble muschamp's at Florida's because of this hire on offense.

it's about them taking an awful OC. they will be just as inept on offense next year. wait and see.

I hope he is awful.

Richt may have had faults but he always had our number.

I am just not sure some Arkansas fans would care that much about who an East team got for OC if not for the fact that they stole a position coach from Arkansas.

BTW, I am a little confused by this. I thought GA had already tried to get some Arky staff but the no compete clauses kept it from happening?

Yep, and you replaced the coach that accomplished that with a fricking unproven defensive coordinator. That worked out great for Florida

They tried to hire the current OC, Dan Enos, and when that couldn't happen they moved on to plan B and hired our first OC under Bielema. Apparently, Smart thinks Bielema's offenses were the toughest to prepare for that he's faced.

I thought all the coaches had no compete clauses? Granted my source for that was dubious. I read it on the coaching changes board when Smart tried to contact Enos. Is the no compete just for the coordinators and HC?

This is what Bert said about it today:

quote:

I will put SEC no-compete clause in future assistants. Sam told me I didn't need that in his contract and I took him at his word.

It is within the conference he is going to and that bothers me.

None of the assistants from his original staff have the non-compete. Those have only been put in for folks who have joined the staff since. Pittman, our WR coach and our TE coach all do/did not have the non-compete in their contracts. Everyone else does at this point and our new OL coach will be getting one.

need to get one in Michael Smith's contract when we give him a raise. georgia fans keep saying how they have more talent then us. if they have so much talent they can make any OC look good why did shotty suck so much??? chaney had the exact same players as Enos did this year, actually he had 5 more because we lost 5 to injury. we was one of the worst offenses in league play last year. this year Enos made us the best in league play. I wonder why? because he is the real deal and Jim chaney isnt. Pittman told kirby he would only come if jim was his OC. basically he got his buddy a job at kirby's expense. georgia will suffer because of it. you have nothing to fear auburn fans. if you can fix some of your problems then you can still beat georgia as long as you can score a few points because georgia ain't getting good on offense anytime soon with chaney running the show.

Basically what you have here is Georgia fans lashing out because they're trying to convince themselves this is a good hire.

I actually saw a thread on the UGA board when I went over there earlier saying that Chaney wasn't good at Arkansas because Bielema never had a good defense. The main poster never thought to actually look that one up and see that we had a top 10 scoring and total defense last year. We went 7-6 because of the offensive failures in games against Bama, State and Mizzou where we failed to score a single 4th quarter point.

No worries though as they will find out soon enough why his last three teams where he has coached think this hire is bad.

We lacked talent at QB last year, and our Heisman caliber RB got hurt, so we were gonna struggle no matter who our OC was.

Same problem AU had. A few AU points didnt beat "aint good on offense" UGA last year, so not sure what your point is.

Don't know how big Jim's play calling and QB development turn out for UGA but you can rest easy about OL.

you will continue to lack in the QB department with chaney. he does not develop them. also arkansas lost jonathan williams. we didn't suck. infact we lost 5 starters on offense to injury. you can't blame it all on chubb. you have more issues than losing chubb. if 1 player means that much then you have more problems then losing 1 player. if qb development was your problem then you will still have that problem under chaney.
