Look...it's obvious Virginia Tech has a solid defense. If they aren't Top 5 they are definitely Top 10 material, so you can stop pretending now.
Virginia Tech's defensive line and linebacker corps took advantage of an inexperienced Alabama offensive line and were able to handle them for the duration of the game. That's the truth. There are no hidden agendas here. Yeah...we look beatable...but LSU has looked beatable in almost every game they play year in and year out and yet still gives Alabama the game of the century every single time.
No matter how good or how bad the two teams look, both will be giving it their all when they suit up against each other in that first weekend in November.

This is not about LSU vs Bama. It's about how great that vtech D is. Glad we got them early before that O had time to figure things out.

When we scheduled VT they were coming off a trip to the sugar bowl and are one of the more dominant teams in the BCS era.
We played Michigan to open the season after they had won the sugar bowl the previous season.

LSU isn't in this. Its the fact that Alabama played a VT football team that everyone has been down on. Well, I second Jesse's assessment of VT being the best D to date.

Nobody doubts Bama has a good offense. But their defense is far from the usual dominating self. Based on the "eye test" - there are several teams better than Bama. Just saying - the eye test is important (sarcasm). BTW, VT is mid tier ACC team. Nothing to brag about.

Admit it or not this is a solid, solid defense. May not be the best in the country but as I said after week one, top 10 for sure. They have the fastest corners I've seen in a while in run support. Their schedule, though not SEC caliber, its not the easiest thing to do in stopping GT. I can't find a loss on VT's schedule from here out. That speaks to the conference they play in and the defense they play. Awful offense but can contain a lot of folks on D.

Oh so this matters now, but not when VT was coming off their worst season in like the last 15 years.
I better not see how our schedule sucks next year because of how much WVU has dropped off the map.

I think they win the ACC. They are atleast top 3 and they won't play fl st or clem til the ACC championship.
