I can't wait for you to come into Oxford with a true Freshman QB.

Bateman starts and Hurts plays against USC. How they both perform will determine a lot. I think they both play a good bit early in the season as Hurts develops.

I like how you said this with the air of intimidation, like Oxford is some notoriously hostile environment for visiting teams.

Not that our senior QBs have done well lately against you.

Damn, this is nice to see another fanbase grasping at QB straws with no information to justify their opinion one way or another.

We KNOW who our guy is, he is spectacularly mediocre, but no discussion as to who should start for LSU for the first time in about 6 years.

I think Kiffin is one of the best in the business. If he says Hurts can start, I wouldn't question it much.
As for Saban, I think if Hurts screws it up, he will put in the older guy and not ask him to do much.
Regardless, your team is loaded with talent, Kiffin is good enough to hide his weakness, you should be fine with whoever you roll out.

Well Derek Henry or Amari Cooper isn't suiting up in Crimson to help your QB out either.

I'm just saying. We are going to score. I'll like the odds of our defense against a true Freshman QB in a game in the 30s.

Same as the last 2 years. 2 SECs and a Natty. I think Bana will be fine.

It's been that way the previous 2 years and both of those worked out well for us...can only hope this year does as well...

No, it wasn't. The link you gave is even titled "Saban Expected to Name Jalen Hurts Starter."

That isn't an announcement. It's an expectation of an announcement.

I don't think Bama should be worried about who is the starter at the qb position because I think kiffen could make it work with either of the three. It's more about the scheme and how he will cater the game planning to each quarterback

Well by all accounts that would mean he is going to be the starter.. take that as you will. Touchdown Alabama isn't a joke website like all of you make it out to be.

I don't know the site, but I do know the difference between an announcement and the expectation of an announcement. For example - Les Miles was expected to be announced as the coach at Michigan a few years back. SPOILER ALERT: That expectation did not come to fruition.

You better hope so. Watch how much success Dalvin Cook has against us in a couple of weeks. You probably won't be as excited then.

Hurts played in East Texas, he's probably seen a stadium or two and a crowd or two on the level of Ole Miss already

We have been more than fine against teams that want to line up and run right at us the last couple of years. I don't see a reason why this will change. FSU, Bama and UGA will all have similar game plans to take pressure off the inexperience at QB. That plays into the strength of our defense. Add the that the potential for one of the top offenses in the SEC, it will put a lot of pressure on inexperienced QBs to play clean, mistake free football to keep up.
