If you can make sense of SEC officials then you have done something the rest of us has not managed to do. You should write a book and decode it for the rest of us.

They have these things called “SEC Coaches’ Teleconferences” where the SEC informs the coaches of the “rules”. Everyone knew about the special point of emphasis rule against deceptive substitutions except one coach, though, apparently.

I could sell you the Statue of Liberty. Wouldn’t be a legitimate deal because I don’t own it.

Part-time weekend warrior officials similarly have no right to write the rules however they feel. The fact they “checked in” before the game makes this all 100 times worse. It means the refs were completely out of their element.

They got fricked but no sympathy for claiming fake championships.

Auburn was outplayed. It you objectively look at the game it was relatively even stat wise, but defensively it was clear OU had control. The difference in the game was the Mateer drive. That is it

In a cleanly called game the scores would say otherwise. Truth is yall operated under far less scrutiny than Auburn. Numbers 4 and 9 fouled our receivers all game and the refs turned a blind eye to it. Well yeah if you can do that, nullify our TD, and add an illegitimate TD you will feel better about the game.

Yet, some OU fans continue to ask "what did we do?"

That why we had more penalty yards than you?

Just STFU already. You just look like clowns.

This is correct, just not in the sense you intended.

This makes absolutely no sense. You are actually saying that Auburn would have received a favorable call in a future game but now won't because of a tweet from their AD?
Make-up calls have always been a thing. But not if you piss people off.

That said, I take back my slight on Cohen keeping his mouth shut. Because if this statement really was his idea, he’d have issued it way before now.

In game, yes. After, never.

He oversaw the transition to a new basketball coach early this week.

Also, unlike Oklahoma fans, he decided to research what the rules of football are instead of bleating out “the refs said we could”

You would've had 150+ penalty yards minimum if they called the game right.

I can think of two DPI's, the illegal play and one holding call... All of them egregious.

It wouldn’t come at the expenses of the likes of a Bama or Georgia, but it would’ve still come. Birmingham highly values perceived unity.

Auburn is playing at #9 ATM this week?

They should probably worry about that instead of OU.

Yeah, that caused him to sign an acknowledgement of understanding of some kind.

We’re not on the football team. We’re fans on a message board. Although I know how Bammers and Squidbillies get confused in that regard.

I agree but if we can keep both in this thread let them have it out.

I'm confident that what's said here has little impact.

Wording could’ve been hammered out and legal signed off on in half an hour. But, money folks don’t like to take crap. So, it was better to hit send than not.
